Well here's a pic of what I've got so far. Yes there's leather mug holder there amongst the beads, jewelry, plastic coins, bits of bead trim and other mis. 'gems'. Ok, pirates, which one o' ye wants the booty?

I've already sent this to personal friends (some of which are here at the Pub), but I wanted to reprint this for all to see. Well I got the news yesterday morning (3/13/07) about what happens with my back situation. I was referred to Dr. Howard Tung, at SDSU (San Diego State University), Healthcare- a neurosurgeon. First, no surgery. The doctor felt that because of where the problem is, that attempting to put any kind of replacement disk which would have to be held in place with screws, would not hold. That due to osteoporisis that surrounds the area, and weakening the bones. He stated also that there would be no guarantee I would be pain free and he suspected the operation could make things worse. He suggested cortizone shots to the area, which I absolutely will not do. I've had cortizone shots and I know for me they don't do any good and make it hurt worse---and I'm sure as hell not going to take in low back! I won't be able to go and do the things that come so easily to movement as just a common walk. I cannot stand for very long, nor walk very far without having to sit down because of the pain in my back. So I'll have to live with it as I have continued to do so, thankfully I have my trusty scooter. So this leaves me where I am, no getting better, no way to correct the situation, and my quality of life has just hit an all time low. Rumba Rue P.S. I make hat pins and sell them for $5.00 each. (Yes the long ones) I have some that have a plastic skull, but nothing like you are wanting. If you are interested, PM me and I'll take a picture of all I have and send them out to interested people.

Forecast here is for the 90's today! Nothing like a heat wave in March.

I wouldn't mind getting in on this. I cruise the thrift stores regularly. I find all kinds of great treasures for treasure chests. How big do you want? I usually can find some great pewter and silver plated candlesticks. Mugs a plenty (just found a real great one I'm keeping), how about some gold eating ware, or jewelry or perhaps some great scarfs? It's how I've filled my treasure chest. Need my address or phone, just PM me.
