Well I'm back! The old computer decided to give itself a Viking Funeral, literally! It burned up (hey isn't that smoke coming from that thing?). So a new computer has been bought and I'm back here. I hope nothing else goes wrong. Geesh, I lost everything I had - boo-hoo! Now I have to learn this new computer stuff, much different. Oh arrgghhhhh, well one must always learn how to tie a better knot. So in any case my Lovelies, I'm here with a keg o' rum, so let's party! Now all we have to do is see if the Escondido 'rain' faire lives up to its name. LOL! Every year it has either rained the Friday night after set-up for Sat. or it's rained Sat. night. Geesh I remember it even rained very briefly prior to a Sat. morning opening. Warning, this faire can be cold, so dress approprietly. I think only a couple of times was it nice, humid, and just a tad hot. Check the weather reports for the area. Don't worry Wolfy, you and your friends are all welcome into our encampment as long as they all be in costume. Not sure where we'll be, but in the past we've had our encampment over by the food booths, just past them into the 'alcove' of the park to the east. The Escondido Ren-faire is the first weekend of April, 3-4. It's a great faire, lots of trees, wonderful area, and of course PRP will be there with our encampment. Though it's not a pirate faire, this particular faire is growing larger and larger all the time as word spreads about the great location. Besides, I love having such an event virtually in my own 'backyard' - I'm seven minutes away! Yippeeee, no camping required for me! If those of you living here in S. Calif. get a chance to attend this event, do it! Even though it's only one weekend, it's definately worth coming for. Hoping to meet some more of you great people! Well Royalist, you may make fun of the Hawaiian Cheiftan, and though she may be in a different class than one you prefer, I have had the opportunity to sail on that fine ship many years ago at the Dana Point, Tall Ships event, I loved it! I think the Cheiftan is a fine ship, and if I had the money to buy her and upkeep I would, but I don't and unfortunately, neither does my stomach. I've now seen two of these really cute pirate antenna balls. (Sorry I was driving and couldn't stop to ask) They are black with a black pirate hat with a small skull and crossbones on the hat. Anyone have any idea where these things might be purchased? Rumba Rue **I want one!**

You can make one using the fimo clay you can get at any good craft store. It bakes right in your oven, then you can hot glue to a stopper. Otherwise, the link that Endkaos gave for the skull stopper is the right price, believe it or not! Even though that one is sold. My friend purchased a pewter mermaid for one of his bottles and paid $37.00 dollars for it! Rumba Rue **I had a mind once, I'm still looking for it**

Ah it's one thing to try and oust Eisner, but since there's no one to challenge his position to be replaced, it will be hard to correct the problem. Got me tickets (courtesy o' me friend Linda in Tempe) yesterday, so gettin' ready for the big trip there. I know we be tryin' ta leave here 'bout 6 AM on Friday the 12th and should arrive in Tempe 'round 1 PM or so. I know the two people who are comin' with me were expectin' ta be ridin' in me van, but since I've now sold it, we'll all four be comin' in me new truck. One thing 'bout PRP, we're not a bunch o' younguns lookin' ta bed the opposset sex (though some might), we be an older bunch, well seasoned, playful, fun, not much inta the polictics that beholden other groups - heck we're right tasty! 'Tis the main reason why we be asked so often to participate in special events that come to us as oppossed to them other groups. We not be strick on costumin', just so long as ye look like a pirate an' not somethin' from Fredrick's o' Hollywood, or cheesy rented costume.
