  1. If'n ye be willin' Boats and I can be there- if'n ye want to gatelist us. (Hopefully by then Boats' mom will be 'passed away' so that won't interfere with us being there)
  2. Well as soon as I'm done with checking out all my computer sites, I'm getting off-line to go back to work on my book.
  3. OMG! You're living in a shelter? Oh my dear Lady Snow, I wish I could help you- but I'm not in a very good position right now either. If it wasn't for my companion, I'd be on the street too. What say ye to my helping ye drum up some help? What kind of work do you do? Where abouts do you live?
  4. (Hey, I have the theme song to the Munsters on my cell phone! ) Well that certianly is....well different.
  5. Telling just isn't enough. Pictures do wonders when trying to sell something.
  6. Last night's chat? Whoa, what's going on here? Huh? Huh? Huh? Did Long Tom sneak on when we weren't looking? If so, some pirates we are, not even protecting our treasure! Well welcome Long Tom. It would be wonderful if'n ye could tell more 'bout yerself.
  7. I'm trying to find time (and money) to come out to Palm Springs for a day (Saturday). We are kind of on 'death watch' now for Boat's mother. Hospice has been called in...I suspect it will be pretty soon.
  8. I finally bought a new vacuum cleaner, one of the bagless type with the filter. Well to my discouragement, when it gets too much in the cannister or gets too hot, the dang thing shuts off for 30 minutes. I'm like, 'what the f**k! I have less than a small amount to clean...arrgghhh....but man does that thing suck! I've had to empty the cannister almost everytime I'm through vacuuming! Gee it even looks like the carpet is clean now! I'm afraid one of those Roomba's would scare the hell out of the cats and I'd never see them again except under the bed. They are already scared of a regular vacuum and run and hide.
  9. I've never heard of it. Never seen it here on the west coast. I guess it's something you have to order via the Internet.
  10. I'll tell ye Jack, if'n I could have afforded a horse, I would have bought yours! Gads I even have a place to put a horse now. Not exactly close though....way out in Menifee -north of me about an hour's drive. Ah, someday my dream might come in....
  11. Well since I live here in Escondido, I'll be going, but not sure in what capacity. I can get myself gatelisted with Mallory and McCall, but then I'll be required to preform with them. Not that I mind, but I haven't touched my guitar in ages... I'm not sure what Boats is going to do. I tried to contact Kent Richards of Pirates of Treasure Cove, but never got a reponse, so I guess I might have burnt my bridges with him... Otherwise, we'll just buy a friggin' pass for both weekends...
  12. Watching my parrot Gilligan trying to have sex with the little white ball in his cage (about the size of a ping pong ball). Aw, he makes these cute little noises as he tries to make love to it. Waiting for my new dishwasher to arrive. Got everything out of the way so the workmen can remove the old leaky one and give me new one. Ah, eventually, I'll get my updated apartment. I'm hoping the guys wreck the kitchen floor and maybe even break the counter....then I'll get new stuff too, just like everyone else around here. Arrrggghhh, we got huge rent raise last year so now we're paying what everyone else is who has all new stuff when they move in. The management didn't want to give me anything...been here 10 years, by law here, they are required to update things. Now I certianly don't want new carpeting- gads they are putting this almost white carpeting in apartments- I'd have to put rugs everywhere to cover the carpet-barfing cats/occasional poop (if the cat box was missed for some reason). They won't paint either. When the bathroom sink was replaced and new mirror and medicine cabinet put in, I painted the thing myself. It's a real nice mint green- I don't care if it was suppose to be white....
  13. Gawd if I only had the figure for it!
  14. We got a cold rainey storm over the weekend here. What was really awesome was the hailstorm yesterday afternoon. Little pea size pellets came pouring down, so much that it actually looked like snow! There were cars with so much of it on their roofs, hoods, windows etc. You'd of though it did snow here! This morning the water that pools up on the roof of a neighboring building had actually frozen- looked really nifty! There was a very wee bit of snow on the very top peaks of the high hills surrounding Escondido, but it was all melted by 10:00 this morning. Hey for a place that doesn't get snow, it was really nifty!
