indeed! I think he would like it.. he lives in a small town in AR, you could use some names around him like creeks, towns, maybe his sister?? I thought of something WE ALL can do.. buy an inexpensive flag and have everyone around you sign it.. he can fly them in the yard or add them to his room. We can see which flags we would like to send.. PIP could send a period one with everyone on it. Use fabric contrasting pens to write the name, then gently heat it to keep the names fast.. we did that for Morgan when he went to Iraq. I'm not sure he ever got it back.. anyway, what do you think?

my cat almost died this weekend.. he had the same symptoms I've had.. sneezy, chest full, sore throat.. at least now he'll drink water and eat.. I was very worried that I would find him dead when I got home after work.. I'll toddle off to bed now, hopefully to sleep better then last night. in at 11, up at 1:30 and 4, then up at 5:30 for work. cute teddy, Jenny.. (smiles n yawns)

Captain

Lady B has moved in (temp) with her family in southern Iowa, since she did get moved out this weekend from her apartment. We made sure her weapons were in boxes, as were all her finery and tinware, tentage and furniture, sewing, clothes, crafts, and boxes. She had a truckload to move, but with her mom and step-dad to help, she got it all moved out in time. They were focused on getting her out so no more repercussions about her apartment, supplied the truck and manpower.. I wasn't as much help as I wanted to be, my shoulder is still on the mend. I did manage to drag a few of her boxes into the hall for the truck. Luckily she didnt get any of the flood waters anywhere near her, so she didnt have anything moldy to get rid of. That is a disaster in itself. The allergies have been horrible this year.. She did get to keep most of her things, and not sell them, tho and hopes to have a job by Spring so she can get her own place. anyway, she's doing ok, if a bit flustered. send her some good thoughts.

I"ll be in this grand company by the weekend.. I have some red in my hair, this will just make it more noticable.

I missed your posts here.. my apologies for that! I'm glad to hear that things are settling down for you, and that life is getting better! You are a dear friend and I wish you the best.. always. funny enough, I just bought a bottle of Jameson's (in real life) so this round is on me. RAY, bring clean glasses for the Jameson's, and a plate of pasties for the lot of us.. we have some time to get caught up on.

I promised Lady B that I would tell you all that she is fine, but busy moving another 45 minutes south of me with her family. LAdyB had some financial problems and had to move from her apartment this weekend.. Everything had to be gone by Monday at midnight. Luckily her family came thru and helped her big time! she wanted to make sure you knew she was thinking of you, and will be online asap. Until then, send some money and job thoughts her way!

thank you, Ransom! Muchly appreciated! I'm thinking of trying an orange kind next year.. strange thing tho. I left the bottles in my car for a while, going from faire to faire, and it got carbonated. Instead of the smoothness of a schnapps, it had a bite like Mike's hard Lemonade. It got better once I had it in the fridge, but it surprised me to be so sharp. Right now, I have peppermint schnapps, since the Buttershots is all gone.. I love Drambuie and Jameson's (thanks Scupper, for the addiction) and a chocolate infused vodka from Poland.

I saw the first snowflake on the season on my windshield.. its wet and cold with 50 MPH winds... no more leaves on the trees! (Iowa fall lasts 5 minutes)

I lost my father last year, and I still miss him and talk to him. The only thing I can say, is that you have friends who understand, and he is out of pain now.. I know its not much comfort for you, but his journey has just begun on the other side. fair winds and calm seas, Lily and Edward, my thoughts are with you.
