My "little birdie is home to roost" This is our new puppy with daddy on left, grandma in middle and mom on right. Our baby's first day home.

My Dear Captain, What kind of severed limbs would you be needin'? If plastic, like the kind you find in Halloween stores, I have tons. From a distance they would probably do fairly well. If you want them more realistic looking, I can probably make some up for you. pm me and we can discuss this further.

I believe something can be made using a swiffer mop mechanism. I think I have directions for conversion. Edit: I found the directions. http://www.instructables.com/id/Special-FX...g-Blood-Effect/ Oh my.

Thanks Syren. 4 more hours till we can bring our baby home. Darn it, I should have made the apointment earlier. I want her now. I'm so sorry to hear about your headache. I wish there was something I could do to help you. Fell better soon. Hugs. My Feet still hurt also. Oi.

Thanks Briar and I will definitely post pics as soon as I get her home.

Exhausted from PIP but happy happy happy. Got a call from the breeder today, I got the golden retriever puppy with the white stripe. Not only that but we can take home our new baby tomorrow instead of the 20th. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.

It's always a pleasure to share a cigar with a fine gentleman.

That would be wonderful. Thank you for the generous offer Captain. I'll be sure to take you up on it. I would also like to have included time for firing. I think that's something that would have to be arranged with Harry, since firing inside camp wasn't allowed.

Hmmmmm................ Quartermaster, are you gonna let Sterling get away with that??? It's high time someone stands up to those Archangel scum. :

Not true, there were plenty of people who were not historically correct.... not to mention I know where the electrical outlets are so you can charge your 'ship' as needed :) I agree. There was so much more to PIP than the pc group. IMHO, there was definitely more non pc pirates than pc and everyone had a great time together. In addition to the careening and Archangel camp, there was a beautiful area set up for folks for modern camping. In fact, my husband and I didn't camp at all. We stayed in a hotel and felt more than welcome non the less. Believe me, PIP was for all pirates. I hope you join us next year. You won't regret it.

Don't worry, I'm not done sorting through them all yet.

As a matter of fact I am. Now comes the horrible task of unpacking. Remind me next year not to bother packing anything other than garb and maybe one or two normal outfits. EC

Here are just a few of my favorites. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v702/lei...llins/PIP%2007/

For the careening camp: Have a real first aid kit acccessible to all campers. I would be happy to put this all together and send it off to the Fort when the time comes. Period games for the kids visiting the camp. Possibly some little trinket to give them as well. The dubloons Mary had would have been great to give to the visiting children. A lecture/demo for first time gun owners that includes: care, safety and firing.

First of all, there aren't enough words to describe all of the wonderful and amazing experienes I had at PIP this year. As a first timer, not only did I feel welcomed but I truely felt like I belonged and was among friends. In no particular order, some of my highlights include: The sunset cruise onboard the Wolf. Not only did I shoot my first weapons with Stynky and Cascabel (Again, many thanks to both of you), but hamming it up with Stynky for the other passengers was priceless Stealing Captain Sterling's shoes and sword. . (Well, he wouldn't be needin them anymore), and the look on M.A.dDogge's face when I took his blunderbuss Trying to rescue William from the tree. (It's a good thing those kids are on our side). Walking on the beach and sitting around the campfire until the wee hours in the morning sharing stories, laughter and listening to incredible music. Amanjaria is just amazing and Silkie really does have a voice like silk. Walking in the Holiday Parade and trying to toss a quarter in that stupid fishes mouth. I'll get it next year. Watching the crew of the Archangel storm the rocks on the beach. Turkish coffee at sunset. Participating in the battles and stealing shoes Best of all was meeting my fellow pub mates. Your stories, humor, experience, knowledge and willingness to share information made this not only a fantastic week but a wonderful learning experience as well. Thank You one and all. Congratulations and Thank You to all of you that made this event happen. I can't wait until next year.

Good Morning from Key West. My hubby Keith and I arrived yesterday and are staying at the Southernmost Hotel. We tried to get into the fort last night but couldn't find anyone to let us in. (It was kind of late. Sorry) If anyone has medical supplies that need refrigeration, we are about 10 minutes from the fort and you are welcome to use our mini frig. We'll be heading off to the fort shortly, looking forward to meeting you all there.

One of our favorite holiday traditions starts tomorrow after all the dinner dishes are put away. I'll put some holiday simmer on the stove and while the house is filling up with the scent of oranges, lemons, cloves and cinnamon, we'll take out a couple of boxes of Christmas decorations. Once the football games are over, we'll pop in A Christmas Story and laugh our butts off. One of my favorite Christmas CD's is Jimmy Buffett's Christmas Island.

Almost done baking for the evening. Yippeeeee. The pumpkin pie is just about ready to come out of the oven then in goes the apple. The house smells so good. I can't wait for tomorrow. I love turkey. I'll definitely post more pics of the puppy once we get her. 4 weeks and counting.

One of my favorite things to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas is to make a Holiday simmer. I usually have some on the stove everyday. It really makes the house smell wonderful. If you try it, I hope you enjoy it. 2 cups water 1/2 orange, thinly sliced 1/2 lemon, thinly slices 2 cinnamon sticks 10 cloves 1 bay leaf Simmer on stove or potpourri pot. Can be used for several days by adding more water. Happy Holidays.

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, But I just couldn't sleep, I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned - The dark meat and white, But I fought the temptation With all of my might. Tossing and turning with anticipation, The thought of a snack became infatuation. So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door, And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore. I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, 'Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground. I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky, With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie. But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees.... Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please. May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump. May your potatoes 'n gravy Have nary a lump, May your yams be delicious May your pies take the prize, May your Thanksgiving dinner Stay off of your thighs. Have a great Thanksgiving all!

Shipwreck, Red Cat and Capt. Sterling: Thank you for the wishes. Today we looked at some golden retriever puppies. Oh my goodness, I want them all. But there is this one in particular that just happened to steal my heart already. With a little luck, (we are currently 2nd in line for pick of the litter) we will be taking her home on Dec 20th. I think it's a sign that she happens to have the same kind of stripe on her head as the dog we recently lost. Well, if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. [/img]
