Happy Natal Dday to My Beloved William Red Wake
Lily Alexander replied to Maeve O'Treasaigh's topic in Scuttlebutt
Happy Birthday William!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day and a new year filled with love and laughter. -
Perhaps we could get a couple of volunteers from each crew to share in the group leading party's from the Fort to the encampment. This would relieve some of the task from your crew as well.

The demonstrations...I don't know what to say about the demonstrations. I was all for it in here a few months back and everyone kind of shot me down. Mission, the objection wasn't about the demonstrations. It was having them inside the Fort instead of the encampment where several of us felt that it would be a good way to get people into the encampment. Which was severely lacking the year before. The intent was not to shoot your idea down. It was a wonderful idea.

Ow, my eyes. I think I just went blind.

Agreed We had snow on the ground before Thanksgiving and there was snow when I got back from PIP. We might see the pavement again in March or so.

Oh buggars, now I have to make a choice? All of the above. I like variety.
-
Diosa, where do you get the skull beads you use in your jewelry? I'd like to use them in my ornaments.

Go for it

Finally got around to uploading our pics. Not nearly as many as I would have liked. They can all be viewed here. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v702/lei...llins/PIP%2008/

Congratulations to you.

Edward and I do that with ornaments too. I love our eclectic tree. Great idea. I'd be willing to make some macrame ornaments.

It belongs to Stynky. I believe he said he got it with the $20 for his unisex hat with the idea of buying mead. (How is it that everything comes back to that miserably yummy mead?) I think you're on the right track, though. You should sign it. add the location and send it to some random person whose address you happen to have from the pub. (I don't believe any of you have my address, so I feel safe in suggesting this absurd idea.) After careful consideration, Edward and I came to a decision on how we would handle the bowling pin. We have signed it with our names and the event where it was acquired. Instead of mailing it to some random pub member, we will bring it with us to our next event where it will be cleaverly stashed with someone else's belongings. We shall form the family of the traveling bowling pin. And you thought you were safe Mission

The Crewe of the Sacred Heart is FINALLY home
Lily Alexander replied to Fayma Callahan's topic in Fort Taylor
Mama and Papa, I'm so glad you made it home safe and sound. I am truly grateful about the miscommunication that landed you all at Lily's home for wayward pirates. I feel blessed that we were given so much time to get to know each other better. I miss sitting on the porch and laughing till we cried. I'll hold those memories close to my heart until the next time. Saying thank you just doesn't seem adequate enough for all the effort you put into PIP. Watching you juggle the numerous tasks each day was a thing of beauty and an inspiration for me to do all I could to make PIP better. Love & Hugs, Lily -
I wore mine proudly during set up. I don't think anyone took a pic of me in it though. My feet did quite well this year. They still hurt but not to the point that I couldn't walk like last year. Only a couple of blisters and a sore toe. Woohoo!!!!!

Happy Birthday Captain Jim. I hope you had a wonderful day and many blessings and happiness in the coming year. Love & Hugs

Finally made it home safe and sound. A few delays but all in all it was an uneventful trip home. Edward is closing in on PA to spend the night at his brothers house and pick up Sophie. He should be home tomorrow afternoon. Love and Hugs to you all. I miss you guys terribly.

How do you describe PIP? It's family, friends, chaos, sleep deprivation, gut busting laughter, tears and special moments. It is such a unique experience for everyone. In no particular order, here are some of my favorite PIP moments. Our morning bacon salute to William. While holding a piece of bacon in your left hand, arm raised to the sun. A salute to William was made each morning before the bacon was consumed. You were with us each and every day William. The wonderful gathering of family and friends from several different crews for Saturday night's dinner at Silkie's Hide. Thank you all for being there. Standing in the firing line inbetween Captain Jim and Patrick. Watching Fayma Callahan fire her first shot. Taunting and shooting at Sterling. Watching Sterling have the time of his life on Saturday night. It was so good to see you laughing and having a bloody good time Captain. Donating my hair with Mad Dogge and Patrick. Sharing living quarters with the Callahan's and Bawdy Be. I'm so glad we got the chance to get to know each other better. Watching Scarlett Jai floating on air wearing her new stays. Not only did she look beautiful, she was absolutely glowing. Thanksgiving dinner with the Bone Island Buccaneers. That was truly the best Thanksgiving I've had in a long time. My interpretation of the "Singing in the Rain" dance. Yes, my sneakers did finally dry. Special pictures taken in the sand. (You'll have to wait for the Callahan photo's to see). Looking at the stars and listening to the sound of the waves as I drifted off to sleep. Sitting on the wall at the Fort watching the sun set with Edward. My first sword fighting lesson with Mad Dogge and Mary. Eating oysters, crab and shrimp on the beach. Thank you Dutchie and Grace. Acquired Items: Raw emeralds and a lace handkerchief from Bawdy Be Turquiose necklace and cannon keychain from Diosa Wood Goblet from Greg the Merchant Portrait of Edward and I from Fayma & Tony
