Thank ye all for the fine Bday wishes. Much appreciated. Oooh, how I have missed this place and many! Word of wisdom... do NOT get involved with family affairs! Don't get swindled to assist. I swears it! Unless ye want to put yo'r own life on hold for Lord knows how long! And now... I be partially out of that mess and starting to return to MY life and projects, etc. So... no.. the Navies nor Hunters have not captured me and hung me. No doubt the rumors have gone flyin' about circumnavigating the globe about my demise. I assure ye... the noose has NOT found m' neck nor will it ever! ~Lady B

As of Sunday morning according to reports, no Captain Walbridge has not been found. That's a nice tribute, Sam. A reminder to all.... the Moment of Silence will be held at 6:30pm Eastern/3:30pm Pacific/11:30pm London to take a minute to remember the HMS Bounty, the late Claudene Christian and say silent prayers for Captain Robin Walbridge who is still missing, and the 14 Survivors of this tragedy. Keep spreading the word, my friends! Light a candle, ring a bell, blow your bosun's whistle, say prayers, or anything else before or after your minute of Silence. ~Lady B

Ahoy to all! We are all deeply saddened to hear of the tragedy of the HMS Bounty and the loss of Her endearing Captain, Robin Walbridge, as well as Claudene Christian. Join the many in remembering the ship and her lost crew in a time of a Moment of Silence. For more details, go to the event page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/events/444101025648730/ Also, there is a link to the HMS Bounty's Facebook page. A Relief Fund has been established to help the surviving crew as well as the loved ones left behind by those lost at sea. ~Lady B

AYE! Count me in! :) Always have enjoyed this in years past. ~Lady B

Right nice topic! All the above is what I'm shooting for (but getting there VERY slowly). The walking stick is one of several things I am hoping to get done. I've a few old pool sticks that I am looking to convert into period walking sticks. Though it's the top "knob" that I haven't gotten far with yet. Anyone know of where to obtain toppers the width of or can go onto the end of a pool stick? ~Lady B

Will... I AM JEALOUS!!! This is one of many items that is on my list of "must haves"! ~Lady B

Ahhh... yes... well, money would be the killer for me. I know it killed my attending Rev War reenactments. Not much else could kill my wanting to do Piracy unless there was nothing for me to do at all. But, pretty much money is the murderer of my fun. Just got back from pirating (which I do rarely now) and Lord God Almighty! OUCH! Too much! And I'm talking about gas alone! I camped and brought food, but the gas... lord! Mind ye, mates... NONE of my events - Rev War or Piracy - are nearby. Most events are on average 5-6 hours away! Those of ye who travel a long distance know my pain! I know it's hopeless but I do still keep praying for lower prices in gas. Lower prices means more traveling and events for me. ~Lady B

TOMORROW (Friday, October 12th) is the BucCornEar Festival in Helmsburg, Indiana! It's promising to be an excellent event with a variety of shows, car show, games, Pirates vs Firefighters tug-of-war, and so much more!! Still in need of some pirates! Here's the Schedule for the Festival! http://www.scribd.com/doc/109187592/BucCornEar-Festival-Final-Schedule Hope to see ye there!!! ~Lady B

A WEEK AND A HALF AWAY FROM THIS EVENT!!! The Firefighters are excited- heck, I'm told the whole town and area is excited! The Pirate Encampment, as I'm told, is the buzz of the town already! BUT... we are still in need of Pirates for this event!!! If you are interested, let me know or simply attend! Definitely need more pirates for the Tug of War! 2, maybe 3 Pirates is NOT going to be enough against a dozen or so fit Firefighters! :) Come on, Pirate Community! I know there are MANY pirates who attended Pirates of Paynetown. This event is NOT that far from Bloomington, Indiana where PoP was formerly held. ~Lady B

A car and truck show has been added to this event! A lot is being done to make this a grand event! Please! pirates! Don't miss out on this event! Do yo'r best to attend this event! Again, there IS historical camping plus many activities planned. The more the merrier! ~Lady B
-
OY!! ye need a better reason to attend? This is put on and for the Jackson Township FIRE DEPARTMENT!!! Tis a good cause! Let's not stick to the Pirate Fests and the sort! These brave men and women are reachin' out to us and inviting us to help make their event memorable! What say ye? Hmm? I know there are PLENTY of pirates around the upper Midwest to attend the event! What more could ye ask for? Really? We shall have a historical Encampment, allow to have fire pits to cook, they want demos and interaction, Plus.. the best fun of all... Pirates vs Fire Fighters tug-of-war!!! Come on now! Let's make this event for them memorable! All you need to do.. is show up! ~Lady B

Bumping up this topic, mates! Desperately needin' come pirates and non-pirates for this event! There is an encampment - yes, where you can camp overnight at! Only restriction: no drugs or alcohol. I know, I know... Pirates without rum, what sort of fun is that. But... tis th' rules. Otherwise... they want a good sized Pirate Encampment, with working/live demos, cannons, and all sorts of fun! We can have firepits and cook our own food! This is nearby - if not next to - a fire station so, anything happens, we are safe nevertheless. I'm desperately trying to get there since m' vessel died this week. For more info on this event, here's the website: http://buccornear.webs.com/ PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! HELP! The more Pirates, the merrier! I do NOT want to see another Karsyn Bell event (where they wanted pirates and no one showed up!). ~Lady B

Aye, am planning to do canvas as well. And aye, keeping m' eyes wide open for them. Haven't had much luck... yet. Once in a while, I look on craigslist... funny... I found one that was way off in another state. I didn't know of anyone to go pick it up, that was the issue. Thanks for the hints, already been doing them. Reaching out to m' Brethren to keep their eyes wide open. Hmmm... what about tarred canvas for rugs. Aye? That most likely ye think? ~Lady B

I be wanting some Persian rugs or rugs that have that persian look to them. I want the worn, the old, torn, filthy, etc sort of persian rugs... the ones that are just tossed into the dumpster instead of sold or restored. I saw on a home remodeling show an awesome persian area rug that was torn and worn that was just... tossed out! I nearly cried! So, if anyone sees a pathetic looking persian rug, let me know. If there is a cost to it, no really willing to pay more than $25 for it. After all... it'll be used for the encampments, on the ground... dust, dirt, mud, grass, etc. Thanks. ~Lady B

Oooo... right nice! Tell Brig... I'm mighty jealous! Can't wait t' see more of her handiwork! Can never have a short supply of lace. Especially for we pirates who fancy sporting fine lace. I suppose... we shall be dubbing her th' Lacemaker from now on? Hmm? :) ~Lady B
