  3. Wishing you all the best... and of course all the best rum... on yo'r Birthday, Hawkyns! Hope it was a grand day. Now... if it wasn't... who is th' devil that needs to be strung up? :) ~Lady B
  4. LOL... Aye, Bilge! Only a pirate would love him. And that's a lot of pirates! ~Lady B
  5. UPDATED!!!! Alright, fellow pirates! Here's an event YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS!!! Again... October 12-13 in Helmsburg, Indiana... the Jackson Township Fire Department will hold their annual Parade and Carnival. This year, they have an interesting tri-theme: Popcorn, Pirates and Fire Prevention. This festival coincides with National Fire Prevention Week. Again, they want Pirates for this event! As stated below, there will be allowed a Historical Encampment (free to participants). Fire Pits are allowed, too, so you can cook food. People experienced with flintlocks and cannons are desired. Demos possible, skits/interactions/battles most likely! Since it's Fire Prevention week, perhaps we pirates can come up with something that is related to fire prevention? There WILL be a Pirates vs Fire Fighters Tug-Of-War! So we need every available Pirate willing and able to yank a rope in Bristol fashion! Come on now, Mates! Step lively! Join this good cause! More details will be passed along to you here, on the Facebook page for the Pirates and Buccaneers of the Resurrection or even on our Website. Feel free to ask any questions and voice concerns but the Fire Department is working VERY hard to ensure that every comfort is available. ~Lady B
  6. Any idea of when Put In Bay will be this year? ~Lady B
  7. Ye be welcome, Gertie. :) Enjoy to th' fullest! I did receive m' Christmas booty well in advance of Christmas. And unlike tradition where I open it up on Christmas day, I opened it up right then and there. I got a few Pirates constructable cards and a grand necklace what looks like made of brass. Thank ye! I like! Though, darn near lost my pirate cards to my niece, she thought about commandering them. Hahaha, I had to hide the fleet. ROTDLMAO!!! OMG... QM James! I darn near choked to death from laughter over that comment!!! Drinkin' from, not shootin' up. LOL Good one! BTW, looking forward to 2012 Christmas Exchange now! ~Lady B
  8. The wicked Lady Barbossa is recruiting able bodied sea men and women! Are you willing and able to attend events? Be active? Know a little or a lot of history and tell it to spectators? Show your trade be you a navigator or a simple deck hand? Do you want a crew that has plenty of events to attend? Ranks and stations offered. And who knows, perhaps a little compensation for yo'r troubles and travels! AYE! Sign Articles! with the Pirates and Buccaneers of the Resurrection. est. 2007 .... or in pirate era, in the Year of Our Lord, 1707. Definitely in need of some people willing to look like good pirates, as we are a historical fiction pirate crew, mixing historical reality and appearance with pirate lore, sea myths, and Hollywood legend. Already have been called and asked to attend events. Check out the website for more! Pirates and Buccaneers of the Resurrection ~Lady B
  9. Was pretty good. Only thing I was disappointed with was the loss of Hook's hand. I would have thought it would be a bit more elaborated upon. ~Lady B
  10. What? You don't want Blackbeard to return as a ghost, Mission? :) Ye know... I think they need a character on there based upon Mission. What ye lot think? :) ~Lady B
  11. It's now 2012... and several places are saying PotC is possible but in the works. One site stated the title was PotC: Beyond the Seas World. Now... that title sounds just so unlike a PotC title. And too reflective of At World's End. The plot and supposed story sounded even worse with Will and Elizabeth returning which we all know that both Knightley and Bloom will not return for future films. I guess we shall see. I still am keeping watch for a Blackbeard's ghost possibility. Perhaps Will and Elizabeth's son jumping in on the story, too? I was told Depp wasn't so sure about taking on another PotC film as Jack and wanted to do another film with Angelina Jolie... well, I like our very own Black Syren's idea where if ever her character was played by anyone, it would be Angelina Jolie. Or maybe the return of Cruz to reprise her role as Angelica. Perhaps we will see someone portray one of Blackbeard's "Wives", Aldetha Stowcroft. Well... we shall see what goes. ~Lady B
  12. Hmmm... tis a good question, GoF. I'm not involved with any Star Wars groups. I only know of the 501st because it's so large. What groups they are associated with... I don't know if it's a start or not. But you are right... trying to get involved in some of these forums is more trouble than it's worth. I guess, it could be worse.... like NOTHING out there with the costuming aspect... which is what I ran into when I started work on a Wraith Queen outfit of my own, in reflection of the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis. The Stargate series costume/cosplay sites and groups are few and far between with networking proving to be quite the challenge yet we are trying. Star Trek... the Starfleet is a bigger pain as I attempted to try and contact and connect with them several months ago for a convention and they completely snubbed me! Ugh, talk about rude! Lots of the forums out there have gotten into a rut about their conduct. The newbies that are worth keeping they are pushed away due to a wide variety of reasons. Worse, as you said... post count! I have had the constant issue of forums and places needing you to be at a certain post count in order to do anything! Seriously? I wish you luck, GoF. And.... May The FORCE Be With You! :) ~Lady B PS - hey, uh... does this mean we MAY see you at CyPhan in the future? someday?
  13. I hear ye, Charity. This year has been a bear. Brutal beyond measure. Ahhhh.... if only we could truly be pirates. Haha, much like that Country Music song about wanting to be a pirate. Prayers always to ye, m'dear. ~Lady B
  14. Hahahaha.... I like this gent already! Fancyin' wine before rum. :) ~Lady B
  15. Happy Birthday to ye, Will! I do hope someone has given you baskets of unlimited bacon already. Is there such a thing as bacon flavored rum? Ray!... give him a large tankard of rum and an unlimited platter of bacon. ~Lady B
  16. Everything is left, Mark. I've not sold a thing yet... much to my dismay. I'm adding to my list of things that must be sold. It's hard to give up all this stuff.. but I have to get rid of it all. Carbine is still up for grabs, I'll see if I can post three pictures of it on here. Sword still up for grabs... the red silk robe (more a 1770s gown instead of GAoP) and a few other clothing pieces, including the outfit shown above. Shall post an updated list of more items soon. ~Lady B
  17. I've not sold anything... everything is still available. I must get rid of it. They have to go. And needs to go swiftly.
  18. Ok... edited this... Red silk gown pending sale. ~Lady B
  19. No one has purchased the carbine or sword... or any of the outfits yet. Sent you a PM, pegleg. Please, please, please, people.... I beg. I MUST sell these things and sell them now! These would make for good Christmas gifts, too. I have a few other things, all my piratey and rev war stuff must go! ~Lady B
  20. I'm afraid I don't have any further details on it. What model and make is unknown. I definitely bought it (from my unit commander) because it worked and worked well. Fired the majority of the time on the battlefield. There is some nice but simple brasswork on it. The flashguard will need to be replaced, but that's a minor detail compared to this carbine. It's rustic looking, it's not shiny and new but it's a great delight. It pains me to have to part with it. The carbine will be with a pick and whisk.... as well as the hard case I purchased for it. Heck of a deal. Again, I have pictures... send me a message of an email I can send the pictures to. ~Lady B

  23. Welcome to the melee. Glad ye stumbled upon Piracy, a good hobby :: clears throat:: And right glad ye found th' Pub. Again, welcome. :) ~Lady B
  24. ::: dusts self off; removes seaweed; coughs::: Well, pubmates. I have finally returned. Though I have hovered upon a couple other computers, their firewalls never allowed me to visit here. So entirely sad. MANY sites I frequented that I was not allowed to go to. One can only handle so much of Facebook, checking email, and the occasional Deviantart. IF allowed. Often not allowed. Nor not the time. So, now m' computer has returned to me. I'm at full swing now, back up and running and able to visit the Pub once again! Huzzah! I swears... I need to take cannons to computer Viruses! Th' bloody this was a VERY nasty one. Wiped it out, only able to save a few things. But now, starting over. Tis grand t' be back upon the Pub! Round of drinks for all! Make that THREE rounds! ~Lady B
  25. Wishing ye a long belated welcome. Glad ye stumbled upon th' Pub. Tis a fine piratical establishment. ~Lady B
