  1. I've seen some good recipes float around on Social Media from Colonial Williamsburg, too, and thought I'd share this one first as this really sounds good I might try it on the grill. Chicken Pudding Recipe and looks easy as well as delicious. Feel free to post more Colonial Williamsburg recipes you found or liked.
  2. NICE!!! I've always wondered if those Painter's Tarps would work well and not have to be treated for weather (like rain). Then again, I've wondered about whether they would be good to mimic old, worn sails converted into a makeshift tent/shelter. That's a rock on, wild, cool display there, madPete! So, this a wedge tent or lean in to or a fly or bakers or something else? I'm intensely curious now! Can't wait to see photos of the event and everyone's projects. πŸ˜πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ
  3. As much as I love Iowa, I really feel the sea calling to me! It's a desire of mine to someday uproot and move to the coast. Blame a little bit of Beachfront Bargain Hunt and Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives for feeding that long-buried love of the sea once I set foot in the Atlantic at Cocoa Beach long ago and nearly floated away (literally!). So, some of you who reside along the Carolina and Florida coasts as well as the Gulf Coast, start pitching your "This is a great place to live!" infomercial to me, please. It was Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head that inspired me to start hunting for a place to reside. I don't exactly plan to retire, but refire! Give me all the pirate events, hangouts, Margaritaville, No Shoes Nation, beach and coastal hot spots, bicycle friendly, "and wait there's more!" that you can tell me about. And... GO!
  4. I'm aware there may be a couple Crews/groups around that vicinity. The Loose Cannon Company usually comes to mind. They have a Facebook page, but are also very active on some social media platforms like Instagram. They recent had an event in or near Bath, NC. I can't remember the other crews that be around. Lemme check with another person about crews in the Carolinas.
  5. That's a stunning piece! 😍 All of ye are tormenting me with such fine flintlocks! And he rifling explanation makes more sense. I think some gents tried to explain that to me almost two decades ago, but still didn't clearly explain the difference between smooth bore and non-smooth bore barrels well enough. That's a fascinating piece of info well defined.
  6. Has anyone found those type of bottles? And labels... anyone find labels on late 17th and early 18th c bottles?
  7. Ooooooo.... 😍 damn, man! That's some hardcore gunsmiMhing! mega kudos! A fine piece to be sure! πŸ˜‰πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

  9. 🀭 Except by those who know exactly how to get there. πŸ˜†πŸ˜‰πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ We'll point those searching in the right direction. Again, glad ye made it to the Pub. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ»
  10. Those are awesome, Skynky! πŸ˜πŸ‘
  11. Good heavens! Sounds like ye have quite a project there, TudorSmith. I wish ye the best of luck. I'd say avoid all man-made fabrics as much as possible for the clothing. Including linen-rayon blends. Otherwise ye will be sweating like a horse after a hard, long workout. Be aware that leathers can burn the skin in the midday heat and direct sun for long periods of time. I learned that the hard way at a different type of event many years ago in South Carolina during mid-August. Hope ye keep us updated. πŸ˜‰πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ
  12. Aye! I got one. Although, I'm kicking myself terribly for not getting the 3 in 1 PotC game set with Liar's Dice, Chess, and Checkers. Tis a good fun game, isn't it?
  13. A hearty welcome to ye, Picaroon. Glad ye made it to the Pub. Truly is a place for we Pirates. Aye, explore the Pub as often as ye can. Always something that pops up weekly if not daily. πŸ˜‰πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ
  14. Welcome to the Pub. Glad to have ye here with us. Ye'll not find a finer piratical place than this. πŸ˜‰πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ
  15. HUZZAH! Welcome back, m'dear! πŸ˜πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ Glad ye returned to the Pub!
  16. Ahoy, and welcome! Glad to have ye here. πŸ˜ŠπŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ
  17. Ahoy again, and welcome back! Aye! I remember ye! Such a delight to see another familiar pirate. Huzzah! Sounds like life really took ye on quite an adventure thus far. Have fun!
  18. Hehehehe, Right, Black Syren? The stuff of pure piratical fun! Alas, Stynky, tis true, I'm not able to make it to the event.
  19. Oooooooo..... Oh, I wish I could go. This looks like the perfect place for some amazing photoshoots and videos and more! Kudos to the gent for scouting out the location. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ˜‰
