  6. Okay. here is the truths and the lie: 1. I once had to make the decision to take a family member off life support. And I held his hand while he died. Aye, number one is True. At age twenty three I had to decide to take a very dear family member off of life support. And I did hold his hand while the angel of death came to take him. 2. I once met the actor Bill Pulman and had a drink with him at the South Side Pittsburgh bar. Nay, number two is False. However, I did see him at a South Side Pittsburgh bar having a drink. I looked at him and he realized I recognized him. I smiled and he saluted his drink to me as a thanks for not drawing attention to him. And I saluted my drink back to him. 3. I have talked with many dead people from many different places and times. Aye, number three is True. Aye, Jacky you are correct the dead never shut up once they find me. I have had many experiences, too many to count. Let's just say when I watched the movie Sixth Sense I was reliving my childhood.

  13. Call me crazy, but in several cultures and in various burial rites, you put coins on your eyes when you’ve passed away. Aye Cheeky Actress, many cultures place coins on the eyes for passage to the other world. Syren, darlin' maybe you should just take a nap instead. In my family when ever some one passes away, it is a tradition to bury coins with them. Or in the case of my Great Aunt Nell, some $2 bills cause she loved the dog races.
  14. The dryer clanking and humming, the dish washer swooshing....and Angelina Ballerina on T.V., and my son talking and laughing.
  15. BriarRose watched Preston for a bit as he lay in slumber. Then quietly she began cleaning up the room and reorganizing her apothecary chest. Once she was done she checked on her patient once more before leaving the room. Maeve was just coming down the stairs, “Wot was that noise I heard?” Briar laughed a bit and said, “Aye, well our patient thought he could take himself out of bed. But he is fine now and resting comfortably.” Maeve, heaved a sigh and shook her head and said, “Aye, we will be needin’ to keep an eye on him then.” “Agreed.” said Briar as she sat down in a chair. “Well, then Maeve, what can I do? I mean I can’t be staying here too long. He will find me out for sure. And as a dear friend I do not want you harmed in any way. Perhaps I should send word to the Friar to see if it is safe to purchase passage on a ship?” Briar waited for her friend’s suggestion

  23. Dear Captain Tightpants. I would sincerely like to thank you for the information you have provided. I am very interested in etymology, especially the sources of names. However, I enjoy learning about the origins of words and there uses as well. Thank you for such an interesting read. It was greatly appreciated.
