London, England Tobias Johnson was not a happy man. He had just come from his lordships town house with strict instructions on what was to be done with the young girl. He pursed his lips as he walked back to his office. He needed to think things through. His lordship was not a man to be trifled with in any way. Yet he had to consider his other client as well. Tobias realized that he was in a quandary. He thought on the young girl taking a moment to remove a small miniature from his pocket to look at her face once more. He could understand his lordship’s desire, yet feared that his possessiveness would cause this young woman much pain and agony if he were to follow through with his instructions. As he reached the building where his business was he went in and greeted several of his clerks before going back to his own secluded office. Sitting down he placed the miniature in front of him. He needed to find out more information about this young woman before proceeding with any plan of action. Having daughters of his own he hesitated which as a business man was most unlike him yet something in her eyes and tender smile pulled at his heart strings as he continued to look at her picture. He realized this required a delicate hand in finding out information. Smiling for the first time that day, Tobias came to a decision. He would ask his wife who was ever clever at finding out information that a man could not inquire of with out raising a sense of suspicion.

BriarRose hid a smile as she turned to go up the stairs to see if Preston was feeling well enough to visit with the the young woman who had come to see him. She made her way to the patient's room humming softly to herself. Going in to the room she noticed that Preston seemed to be struggling to get back into bed. "Do you need any help?" she asked trying to hide the laughter bubbling up from her throat for he made a comical sight trying not to show his naked nether regions as she came in to the room. "Don'tcha ever knock?" he asked some what discomforted. Clearing her throat, she said,"There is a pretty young lass down stairs waiting to see you. Are you up for a bit of company?" Pew's brow furrowed wondering who the young lass could be visiting him. A wicked smile lit up his face as he said, "Well, I could be usin' a bit of company." "Now you best be behaving yourself sir." she adomished shaking a finger at him. "You are not quite fit as of yet to be having a bit of fun. I will send her up only if you promise to be a gentleman and behave yourself." "Aye, but yer a hard woman, ye are." BriarRose went back downstairs to the young woman who was waiting. "He will see you now miss." Murin stood up balancing herself a bit before she began to walk toward the stairs. Her limp was more pronounced than it had been before when she had first come in to the shop. Waving her hand, BriarRose motioned for the young lass to sit back down again in the chair. "Let me take a look at your ankle" she said. Murin blushed, and said, "oh, no miss, I come only t'see Mister Pew." BriarRose smiled sweetly and said, "I am an apothocary now working with the surgeon. Mayhaps I can take down some of that swelling a bit and perhaps ease some of the pain." Gently taking the young lass's ankle and slipping off her shoe and stocking she looked at the swollen distorted shape that it had become. "Mmm, well, after you are done visiting with your gentleman I will have a soak ready for you as well as a poultice." Murin's face reddened a bit more as she said, "I nil wish t'cause ya any trouble miss." "Don't you worry your self about that for it is no trouble at all. By the way my name is BriarRose Kildare." she said holding out her hand as she stood up. Murin fumbled a bit before taking her hand and said, "Pleased to meetcha, I am." "Well then I will start getting the soak ready for you." Murin quickly put on her stocking and shoe and then hobbled her way up the stairs to Preston's room.

A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song. Maya Angelou Learning is not attained by chance. It must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence. Abigail Adams 1744-1818, American

A Garden of Flowers Daffodils and lilacs And tulips that shimmer Daisies that giggle Roses that glimmer Petunias that sparkle Marigolds all ablaze Even weeds in bloom Catch my gaze. Large pink clematis 'Round a pole they climb Dancing in sunshine For all summertime. Iris so regal Stand tall and proud In shades that delight Like a rainbow cloud. Geraniums as bright As a red sequined gown Gracing gardens and pots All over the town. Morning glories entwined On an old garden gate Bright and so blue They never bloom late. Many colored 4 o'clocks From a paint box surely Make us wait to see their splendor For they never bloom early. Alyssum so tiny Smelling so sweet Edge the walkways For a heavenly treat. Peonies huge And bursting in bloom Make the day seem brighter To chase the gloom. Sunflowers proud And standing so tall Surely must be The brightest of all. ~ Charlotte Anselmo ~

Aye Mission and Johnny Tarr you are both correct. To add to my last post, yes I would be a lady of quality, perhaps upper middle class or lower upper class. I would be married as well to a man of the same rank. He would probably own several ships and perhaps even be a Captain or Admiral. I think too it would all depend upon the circumstances as to his background.

I would probably be a lady of quality. However, I can see myself writing and creating stories from the old myths, ledgends and folklore. I would assume a male pen name so that I would be able to be more easily published. (I love to write....it is in me blood, heart and soul)
