  1. “You Sir, presume too much!” Lilly said then bolted and stood behind the couch. She could tell by the vain sticking out of Reiley’s forehead that he was more than upset. “You have every right to be upset doctor, but it fear for the well being of my beloved. I know he’s here in this house I can feel it!” “Come closer, Mistress for there is a good amount of cobbler leather I wish you to feel against your backside!” She stood looking agasp. “How dare you…do you not know whom you are spe…” “Enough!” Reiley shouted in a harsh whisper. “Our lives are at stake here. Don’t you know we can be hanged for trespassing?! Good Lord woman, why didn’t you wait in the carriage?!” She was about to tell him when Reiley suddenly saw three figures walk out across the green. There in the middle was Captain Sterling himself. “He looks a bit better, don’t you think?” Lilly narrowed her eyes and gave the good doctor a deadly look. Just seeing him made her feel better, but there were several unanswered questions that needed to be answered. “Who are those men with him and why didn’t he send word that he was here?” Rieley shrugged his shoulders and looked at her. “Don’t know, Mistress. He, too, could be in danger. We must get to him and escape with our lives.” Suddenly, the light sound of foot-fall came up from the corridor. The voices low. The doctor quickly pulled Lilly down behind the couch and covered her mouth. “Not a word!” He said whispering to her and the laid quiet behind the couch.
  2. Kass, I have a question regarding the underpinnings for this time period. Looking at the gowns you have upon your website, will there be others in addition to the stays? By the way...do tell your beloved Bob that he looks quite fetching in his new attire. Wonderful choice of colour!
  3. Oh just wonderful... would you consider doing lady's garments from the GAoP too... I don't mean ladies dressed in men's kit, I mean gowns and such?
  4. Fear Not, Lady B.... We will consume a little for you too! Name your brew and we shall toast to you!
  5. Mistress Lilly sat uncomfortably in the carriage waiting for the good doctor to proceed with his ‘cunning plan’. She bit her nail and looked up at the estate. “I must manage to get in there.” She muttered to herself. Call it woman’s intuition, but she felt a twinge in her stomach every time she looked up at it. “I know your there, Johnny. I’ll figure out a way.” As Reiley continued to entertain the guards with talk and drink, Lilly slowly slid out of the carriage from its’ opposite side facing the estate. She inched herself along the wall until she was soon out of sight. Looking for some way to get into the estate itself, she managed to find a break in the wall and pulled herself through it. Now she was only yards from the main house. As slowly snuck up towards the back of it…completely oblivious to the two guards, but made Reiley choke on his rum.
  6. Well Cap'n Pete, I, too, have a few years of Ren Faire under my belt. My claim to fame is the Sterling Summer Marketplace and Ren. Faire of Oswego, NY. I worked it for about 10 years before I moved here to the midwest. I truly miss the group of perfessional performers known as "Bless the Marque". God Love 'em! I really miss them!
  7. (Giving him the look regarding his broken pipe) This does not surprise me...very well...rum soaked for you, Sweet... And I will see about the pipes.
  8. My Sweet Captain Sterling, What flavor?! Rum soaked? Vanilla soaked? Please let your Pet know...so she can make her Boy happy!
  9. Hail Cap'n Pete! 'Tis true what Captain Sterling says! Myself ,along with several of his crew (we all live out here in the midwest - Parts of WI and IL) will be attending the Bistol Ren Faire August 19th. The Pig and Whistle is a favorite place for several of us. A good place to stop, listen to some music, partake in a bit of grog, grab a cigar and enjoy meeting new folks. It would be a great please to meet up with you (and I do hope we have the pleasure). It's always a treat to meet those from the chat world. Haven't a clue on how we shaw discover one one another there...but I think I will manage something...(Look for a sign from God - GRIN).
  10. Lilly motioned to good doctor as he quickened his approach to the coach. “Come now!” She said in a demanding tone. “My Sweet Captain lay unattended. We need to make sure that he’s not dying at this very moment!” With a deep sigh, Reiley turned and looked up into the coach. “Mistress, we must do take care upon our approach. As my friends did state these individuals who live past the cane fields are not one for company or outsiders.” She huffed again, looking disappointed. “We must have a plan, Mistress.” Reiley gave her a wink of his eye. “Not to worry though. By the time I get there, I shall have such a cunning plan…you will be able to serve it with a spoon!”
  11. What great fun, Rateye! I love to hear more...but you didn't state the date. I will go over to Ushers website to find out when it falls. It seems it will be a very busy fall for me. I just found out that Mitch (Wild Bill Hitchcock) Posthuma is getting married October 5th! Ya, a big shock to me too...but so happy for him!
  12. Just a thought Rateye.... There are several 15 min skits that I've seen done in Salem, MA that I am sure people in the mid-west haven't even heard of... Some of them are as follows: The Fog Request for a Haunted Ship The Mask and there are others...the run about 15 mins to 20 mins. I even have a few that are perfect for women folk, too! PM me or email me....
  13. Oh Rateye...are you talking about the village of Ushers?! Oh, that sounds like great fun...when in October will it be? It time permits...(and I am not running about like crazy for my Salem, MA even) I would love to go... Of course, this all depends upon time.
  14. As instructed Reiley carried Mistress Lilly to the confines of the old woman’s room. As Reiley laid Lilly upon the bed, she stirred whispering the Captain’s given name, “Johnny?” Reiley shook his head in disbelief. In a low tone whisper he replied, “Ney, Mistress, ‘tis the good doctor Reiley. Now try and sleep. Doctor’s orders.” She nuzzled into the pillow and ticking and let out a deep sigh. The good doctor walked softly out of the room and closed the door. Yet Mistress Lilly found very little sleep. She suddenly awoke with a start. “Bad dream” she muttered as she rubbed her eyes. It was a horrid dream all do to the fact that she was fretting about what had happen that evening, though Abbi nor the good doctor knew about the history that led up to the events of that evening. How could she have been so careless? She took a deep breath and rubbed her eyes again as she turned over upon the small bed. She knew that Lord Darnly was not a man who would give up so easily. She dreaded his fit of anger when she was with him and now that she had left his side to follow her heart, there would be hell to pay. “And he’s sent his horrid man after me…” The whisper was light but the very words carried a stinging tone of realism. “Oh Johnny…what have I done. What will be come of me know. Where are you my Sweet?!” She wept until she exhausted herself to sleep.
  15. Lilly’s heart was now in her throat. “Oh please, Dr. Reiley…I will not go without you…I need your help as much as you need mine!” Reiley didn’t stand there to argue with her. As he pushed her towards the back door, she quickly looked over her shoulder and saw the Fop walking towards them. “Please…oh for the Love of Jove…this way!” She shouted after Reiley. It was then Reiley turned in the direction of Lilly’s stare. As Reiley held his head in one hand; lightly touching his blackened right eye, it was then he got a good look at this person which Lilly claim to fear. “Damn them to hell!” He shouted. “He’s a French Dog!” Suddenly, Lilly grabbed his hand and rushed through the back hall, past through the kitchen and out the back door into the alley. As they ran down the narrow path they headed towards the harbor. With both of them being out of breath they took to hiding behind crates that were set upon the dock. Lilly fell against one of the crates and tried to catch her breath as Dr. Reiley did the same. “Who was that man?” Ask Reiley as he spit on the ground and breathed deeply. Lilly closed her eyes and started to weep. “He is the Devil himself sent by my Patron to come and collect me.” Dr. Reiley knew this woman was trouble and it seemed that he had gotten his hands full of it now. “Why?” Lilly wiped her tear drenched face with the back of her hand. It was then the young lad from The Shipp appeared to them standing there with pistol drawn. “Fools! You could have gotten us killed back there!”
  16. Lilly laughed openly. She shook her head and smiled. "Oh, you see Doctor...this lad is of good nature! Please accept my humble apologize, for I only made light jest." She watched the doctor's expression ease a bit and she laughed. Lilly turned towards the young 'lad' again. This ruse was just what she needed to forget her trouble for a little while. She smiled to herself as the ‘boy’ called the maid over. “Act the fool, Lilly…no sense of spoiling the moment in revealing the youngster’s game.” She was impressed very by this ‘lad’s’ efforts and made sure that she did not lead on to ‘his’ game. “How kind of you.” She whispered in the young lad’s ear. “I wager that this is your first time here; to Port Royal, is it not?” The young lad looked back at her and nodded. As Lilly looked in the direction of the maid, it was then her blood froze still in her veins. She could hardly breathe. It was then she swore and uttered the name…’Killingsworth!” “Please…help me!” She whispered to the ‘lad’ again. “Do as I say…please…play along …I beg of you!” The young lad looked slightly confused with what was going on. “If you please Mistress, I do not see…,” the young lad uttered. In a state of panic Mistress Lilly had to think fast or it would be the end of her. She suddenly pulled the young lad close and kissed him full upon the mouth.
