  1. Does that mean if things go well...we'll be carrying you, Cap'n Pete?
  2. Captain placing hand over Lilly's bouncing ahem..."Steady there "lads!" Which I must ask Dearest Captain. What shall I be wearing this Sunday? Should I bring 'back-up?"
  3. (BLUSHING)....Ooo! Sorry...I'm on it though. I wanted to make sure we agreed upon a date. Okay...just sent them a message. They know now!
  4. Lilly jumps up and down (a very entertaining thing to do in a bodice, mind you) excited that she'll see everyone back on Sunday. "Tis my birthday and all...I cannot think of a better present than having to spend it with my three favorit characters!
  5. Welcome to our Tavern Tess! I see that you hail from the East Coast. If that be the case I will have a Tom Collins, please! It's nice to have you on board!
  6. Lilly watched out her window as her young guest appeared below in the street. She placed her face in her hands for a moment, letting out a wail of anguish then looking back down at the street as Ransom walked towards the harbor area. “Fool!” Lilly whispered to herself. “She couldn’t tell that I was acting?” A light smile crept up the corners of her mouth. “Mores the pity…but I must be careful to track my lies just so.” The tale of Sterling and Darnly being half brothers was a falsehood. But she did not wish for the young Ransom to become trapped in her horrid life. If she were to get involve, misery could only follow. A little white lie would make things easier to swallow, she thought. She said then turned and looked about the damaged room. Suddenly, the sound from the bar roared up from the bottom of the stairs. She could hear people shouting and making commotion. A heavy foot-fall stumbled up the stairs in front of her door. “He’s been shot!” Then the voice of John said in amazement. “Who boy? Whom do you speak of?” “Captain Sterling!” Lilly froze. Her breath left her for a moment. She felt a sharp pain within her heart. “What?!” She ran to the door and called out to John. “Here, open this door at once! If this is true I must see him! I must be with him!” John lent towards the door. “You are better off being locked up Mistress. I will send word upon my return!” “NO!” She shouted and started banging upon the door. “Don’t leave me here! I must see him! Please for the love of God, I must be with him!” She quickly ran to the window. Within moments she saw the crowds gather quickly in the streets. Some walked in the direction of the horrid event. She opened the pigeon-size window and shouted below. “You there! What of the Captain who was shot?” The young man turned up and looked towards her. “No one knows yet. But they’ve captured the assailant!” She drew herself back inside. “It must be Killingsworth.” She said to herself. “If he’s killed my Johnny…there will be hell to pay!”
  7. It's amazing to me that September is mere days away, and that means it's time to get ready for Reenactor Fest II! We have had to book BOTH of the giant ballrooms for next February due to the greatly increased demand for dealer tables. As is always the case with a new venture, only a fraction of a group will try it the first time, and the majority wait to see how it went. Well... because the first Reenactor Fest was a huge success, the number of attendees and vendors is going to increase tremendously. We already have a whole page of people booked at the hotel, even at this very early date. The hits on the website are huge, and we estimate that by the time of the convention we will have about 10,000 unique new hits and 30,000 repeat hits. We reset the counter after RF1 so these are all new numbers. Performer slots are also filling up, so do not delay in contacting me about that. Individuals that participate in a demonstration, performance or seminar get in free that day. We will not have two of anything, so for example, the first Union Infantry group to say they will drill get the spot for that impression. NEW for 2007: - Friday night party: Historical Jeopardy. Prizes will be donated by generous vendors and full credit will be given to them. This will be located in the Paramount Ballroom and a private cash bar will be set up. There is no entry fee for Reenactor Fest guests! - Saturday night party: The Grand Ball. A ball for ALL time periods, featuring 4 different musical styles: Celtic, Early American, 1800's, and WWII. This will be located in the Paramount Ballroom and a private cash bar will be set up. There is a token entry fee of $5 for guests with a one day pass. A multiple day pass gets you in for free. - An entire new ballroom full of brand new dealers. A list of participating dealers will be on reenactorfest.com as the convention draws closer. - National TV coverage from a popular morning news program is planned for Friday. - MORE historical impressions will be represented. - Private meeting rooms will be available at no charge to units for their yearly meeting. First-come, first-served. ... and even more is in the works! Please visit the website @ www.reenactorfest.com!
  8. Wiping her tears Lilly looked surprised at such news. "You are sure that it belongs to Killingsworth?" Then she suddenly went silent. "You are in grave danger Ransom. Let no one know of this item. He always makes sure he tends to his 'business'. If he were to find out that such a thing was lost...you, my dear, would be at the mercy of his own knife. Pray, if you do not bring him to the proper authorities soon, I fear that he will do something dreadful. If not to me, to anyone who is closest to me." Lilly reached out her hand and took Ransom's in hers. "May I tell you what to do with it?" She said drawing near. "Burn it and forget that you ever saw my face!"
  9. Lilly's face turned white. "He knows nothing of my child. I have kept it under keep for some time. I know that he is safe. The Emperess knew that I was with child about the time Captain Sterling left for Port Royal several months before I gave birth. During her absence to the north country, I took myself to East Middleland and was befriended by a farmer and his wife. It was there I gave birth and hid the child. When the Emperess returned she was told that the babe died hours after birth. No one other than myself and the now you, know the whole story. Killingsworth is not a man. He is the Devil incarnate and Darnly is just as worse! No man cares little for his fellow man then he does. I've watched him when he was in the company of Squire Darnly. He knows that I've watched him and do not trust him. "You ask why Darnly is so determine to have me back with him in England?" Lilly drew a breath, closed her eyes then slowly opened them. "Darnly hates the fact that I fell in love with Captain Sterling instead of him. Now that I bore the Captain a child, it is a slap in the face for Darnly." She closed her eyes once more as the tears fell upon her cheeks. As she opened her eyes, she swallowed hard. "Squire Darnly is Captain Sterling's half brother."
  10. May the God Lord Bless all of thee and show thee good fortune!
  11. Her eyes narrow. "Ha..Ha....laugh it up Feather Boy!"
  12. My word! Lilly says looking about. "You all think I'm something of a hellyin, do you now? Just wait until you truly see me in my 'better light'. Of course, I shall be on my best behavior with me Captain by my side.
  13. JohnnyTarr...Story! Good Heavens....I'm in the room!
  14. To clarify Rateye...Sunday is good for you?
  15. Ta Da! (Lilly says with a smile)...and for my next trick....
  16. After an hours time, Lilly stood at the window of her room and thought about what her guest had told her. And in return Lilly has told her tale as well. "Well then, now you know everything about my horrid little tale." Ramson sat silent for a moment, still soaking in everything which the Mistress had said to her in private. "Darnly is a man who has no soul. Killingsworth is the worst of his kind. With these two plotting together I shall never be free to live my life the way I see fit. And because of this, I can never truly be honest with my beloved Captain. If he were to know my tale of woe and sarrow, he would never marry me. This is why I keep my tale to myself. I do not wish to endanger those I love. I am sorry to hear about the young bar-maid...Molly was it?" Ramson nodded. "She did not need die by Killingsworth hand. Yet, I know that he is out there searching for me. What can I do? Shall I go to Sir Henry Morgan myself and plead my case? Shall I ask that Killingsworth be taken into custody? He's a man of power and wealth and if he needed to he would send word right back to Darnly for help!" Lilly took a deep sigh. "I have no money for what evidence you claim you have. All I can ask it that if you meet up with Killingsworth...kill him yourself!"
  17. My Dear Rat, Yes, I do remember the shackles from Bristol. Does anyone know where a smaller pair can be obtained? Sad to say, I have an awful time trying to find a pair that fits me! I have managed to slip through every pair that has been fitted upon me! (No really...) My frame is quite small and my wrist measures about 4-1/2 inches. Any ideas?
  18. Lilly looked towards the door at the Captain and Mr. Jones. Her hurtful glance did little to move him. She had managed to put herself and those she loved in danger. With a deep sigh, she replied. "God's Speed, Captain. Perhaps when you return I may have a much needed conversation with you?" She waited for his reply, but he said nothing and made a low bow to the two women in the small room.
  19. With several calls of Lilly’s name, the crashing came to a halt. The sound of footsteps then could be heard approaching the door. “Ransom?” The tone was one of surprise. “You would be the last person I expect at my chamber door. Come now, open this door at once!” From the other side she could hear the jiggling of keys then the latch of the door striking against metal. The door slowly opened to a warning from the guard. “Make no mistake Mistress. If you try and dash, so help me God I shall make you…” Lilly stood back from the door in protest. “Fool! Why should I run? What good would it do? I wouldn’t risk the good Captain’s wrath?!" She said as she quickly realized that the Captain stood there in the shadows. "And besides…” She said looking Ransom up and down. “This kind…soul, came all this way and went through all this trouble to meet with me. Be a good boy and fetch us something to drink?” Lilly pulled away with the door and extended her hand to Ransom. “Come sit…I do not bite.” Ransom gave her a concerned look then looked over at the Captain. “A joke…and a poor one at that…sorry.” The Captain replied. As Lilly showed her the only chair in the room, Lilly took a seat upon the bed. “Now, do tell me why you risked coming back and visiting me?”
  20. With a sigh. Well, there looks like you'll be meeting up with a wonderful group of pryates! Oh...how I wish I could be there.
  21. Lilly looking shocked. "Where are you planning to use that?!"
  22. I must agree with you Cap'n Pete on the attire issue. There should be limits.... Oh, did you ever get that mermaid's name?
  23. Rateye, It's a lovely piece. Good for encounters of the worst kind But how would you hide such a thing?
  24. Lilly pouting. "Oh, my must I miss out on all the fun?! Looks like all of you will have a splendid time. Do keep on eye out for something 'pretty' for me Captain! I am sure you'll have time to pop in on some of the shops there."
