This is odd...it has gone down, but not by much. Last Friday it was at $2.899 a gallon and today it's $2.799. A nice change, that's for sure.

Speaking of good surprises
Here is a link to the Lobsterback Society...and look who's posted on the front page!!!
(Shaking finger at Lily and RustyNell)
Look to the left of the page, and don't forget to scroll down to the bottom to see it!

Oh?! Oh! I now remember what you are speaking of, Lily. Nevermind...it's all coming back to me now...

I keep thinking about all the 'tryed and true' candies that have been around since I can remember:
Some of my favs are:
The Charleston Chew candy bar
Necco wafers
but the all time fav...
Chunky Candy bar with nuts

So what is appropriate to wear with this? Would my red outfit be OK? Or do I need something fancier to pull it off? (you know, if I want to play princess for a day....)
These are good questions, LadyBrower.
Women of the new 'middle-class' also known as the 'middle-sort', would wear such things. Depending on the years you protray (1680s? 1690s? or later 1710?) would all depend upon the look and height of your Fontange/Fontage.
I would say 'yes' to the red stays/mantua that you made. If you would like, a fancy stomacher would dress up the look of your red stays and mantua so you could pass as a 'Lady' of position...thus, a more elaborate Fontange/Fontage would also be something to think about.
Once you make a fancy court gown, a grand Fontange/Fontage would be best for that look.
It's all up to you...have fun with it!

Here is the completed round Fontange/Fontage I did for Haunting Lily Alexander.
I do hope she's pleased with the finished product!

There is no rhyme or reason for the weather here in Wisconsin. For the last 14 years since I've lived in this state Memorial Day weekend always seems to be rainy and August is usually plagued with rain a good part of the month. We really can’t win. So we have too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry….it’s the roll of the dice.

With those last words being said, please remember that this is a place of public interaction and therefore please show some sense of decorum.
I fear if this type and tone of conversation continues…this thread, too will be closed to discussion.
Be mindful and respectful, please.

Spell check is not anybody's friend. I think you meant appalled.
Crap!...yes....thank you Graydog.

I wonder if Pern found his surprise?
Would this be a good surpirse or a bad surprise, Lily?

I wish it was something more....reenactment related. The instructions to my new washing machine. Ya, I know...you'd think it would be obvious on how to use it, wouldn't you?!

I am appalled at the ability of these types of people.
It just shows you that there are malicious individuals out there that don’t give a damn about the value of life.
Experts say that these creatures who demonstrate such behavior, lead to more serious levels of violence, (aka start small then work up to bigger kills – like your neighbor or your brother).
I hope that creature get EVERYTHING they deserve.

Hmm...calling my hubby (cell phone) and checking in on him. He's got one heck of a head cold from this past weekend.

Who had time?
Yes, you are right. Between getting dressed, eating before the skits, cleaning up, setting up living history areas, running about to find 'said missing stool and Flag' and other things going on...you do have a good point!
