They stay pretty well actually, the holsters are tapered and are a pretty tight fit, I usually prefer measurements of the gun barrels if possible to insure the perfect fit and if you prefer I can add ties to the top of each holster for a little extra insurance that these babies don't go anywhere. I can't say it isn't a little heavy and cumbersome but that's a huge arsenal to be carrying across your chest, If Blackbeard really carried 6 pistols and a sword that way he must have had a mighty big torso. So, I wouldn't reccommend running a marathon in this but for the look and functionality it is pretty effective.

Hey Silent, We made a custom one of these based on the baldric worn in the National Geographic Blackbeard Documentary... I don't have the pictures of it on me but I will post it here later.

Here are some decent Rope Sandles, you can remove the tag. I wear these and love them, they look great, but does anyone know how historically accurate they are? Here is another site but they are a lot more expensive.

I like both, Chai with a shot of Espresso is my favorite... If ye make it to St. Louis for the Pirate Festival or Renaissance Festival, say hello to us at Arrbucks, "Coffees & Teas From The Seven Seas" and mention you're from the pub. (shameless plug, I know but it was a thread about coffee and tea!).

I'm so jealous!! Any chance of getting ahold of a similar baldric or buckles?
-
Very nice! Is the baldric based on Barbossa's? The hardware looks similar.

Here is a new website for a fellow pirate craftsman you may not be aware of: Captain Goldtooth Ron (Captain Goldtooth) is truly a master at his craft. He has made these wonderful piratical mugs, steins and goblets for many years but you can now find him online. I've picked up several over the past 15 years at his KC Renaissance Festival shop and just wanted to share his work with you all. The website is pretty nice and has a lot of fun piratical tidbits of humor and such.

Saw that they have added a screening at PyrateCon. Can't wait!

If only I were in California

I rent my house so I can't build anything too elaborate but my pirate bar consists of a bar made of old whiskey casks, a couple of boat shelves with some pirate swag, and various Jolly Rogers on the ceiling. Also found a great old barrel shaped shelf for glassware. The historical stuff pictured in Blackjohn's forum is great. If you ever catch the MTV show Viva La Bam, in one of the older episodes they turn the basement into a pirate bar. My personal favorite part is the stone fireplace with skulls inlaid into the mantle.

Fun indeed, "what ARRR you doing?"
