I closed the door and returned the bolt back.
I haven't been on the ship long but I did noticed this lady wasn't obviously deserving of such treatment. My curiosity got the best of me.
"Lass you all right?"
"Wot, 'ave you done to find yourself here?"
Hey Michael, you got a date for that painting? I'm guessing late, 1690's? The shoes are tied. I love the detail in the man's shirt collar. Imagine that, gathered all way around. MMmmm, Sorry for the hijack back to your regular thread.
Such as life. I have a Composite Penny Whistle (ie Plastic) because that way I can tune to other instruments. Can't do that with a metal one. Sacrifices we must make in order to sound good. Otherwise it would sound bad.
Ahhh... the now infamous "flower pot". It's called an udu drum if your interested. What you've listed is about all I have for period instruments
This is it. You know where you would have lived, what you would have worn, even what sort of dowry you would have given your daughters. And now you know how you would have died.
Ummmm... Not sure if thats a good thing.
Yes I tried to start that. I just ran out of time before PiP. I had to outfir the rest of my family a month and half before PiP. (ie make another wedge tent and help sew their clothes)
Michael, do you mind if I snag those pics? It would be nice to have a point of reference for making another pair someday. How is the fit underneath her arms? the first pair I made didn't come out quite right.
I've ordered close to a 100 yards of fabric from Dharma over the past couple of years. I highly recommend them. Always good fabric and good service.
If your feeling adventurous you could always get into dyeing.
I don't think it would be too hard to make one. Just trying to find a complete set of type face would be the hardest I think.
Does anyone have any period pictures of a press they could post?
