Murin quietly closed the door behind her as she left the surgery. She was pleased that she could work a bit now. She stood there for a moment in contemplation. She had been wanting to see Doctor Fitzgerald to ask her if she would kindly pierce her ears to accommodate the ruby earrings bestowed upon her. She turned and re-entered the surgery. To her disappointment the doctor was absent. Chanaults sat alone in the room. His eyes had clearly indicated his mood earlier. For the first time since she had met him Murin had known what he was about to say before the doctor had come to her rescue so few moments ago. His gaze revealed no interest and only a shade of curiosity now. Murin stood, frozen, a mouse trying to avoid the cat who's full attention was now on her. "err, ..pardon sir." She turned quickly to exit again, thinking it best to wait. Perhaps she should not wear such treasures anyway.

Happy Incompetent European Navigation Day!
Silkie McDonough replied to William Brand's topic in Beyond Pyracy
Yes, I think I shall claim my neighbor's yard for Spain and take all of their jewelry. Then do the same over the next few year. In a few years the neighborhood will be owned by spain ...which will be fine since many of my neighbors are of spanish decent. As to their jewlery ..do I have to find a queen to give that to or do I get to keep it? -
The clap of the bell broke the spell. A new song began and Murin joined in but the beauty of the harmonies haunted her. Perhaps she had imagined them, a trick of the wind and her imagination. She would ask if Nathan had heard any voice other than hers when they had a moment to themselves. Murin looked at her bandaged left hand as she extended the fingers then made a fist. The hand seemed more stiff from lack of use than in pain from the injuries to her palm. Perhaps Doctor Fitzgerald would release her to work. She made a determined and quick turn towards the surgery.

Welcome Harry. Applications should be arriving any day now. Thanks for the efforts. Murin

Leave it to Patrick t'take a simple tred about bandanas and scarves and tie things up in ...ummmm ...errrr ...never mind
-
Mates, I fear Hesters sea chest is full of silk scarves! I have a deep red square of fabric that I had left over after some project or another. It adds a splash of color to an otherwise dull brown set of garb. I have various other bandanas and scarves but none that are pirate worthy.

Spanish Ship Discovered in Pensacola
Silkie McDonough replied to Monterey Jack's topic in Shipwright
First visual arts. Then the humanities. Now history? I admit I am NO history buff. I had very little interest in history as a youngster, however it has been the opportunity to experience these places and things from history that have peaked my interest as an adult. Let's excavate! That having been said I would like to point out that the Benchley said: ""We don't have plans to excavate the entire ship. It's going to be very expensive because it's so deeply buried and we would have to have grant money," It did not say that they were not going after grant money. So don't lose hope. -
Well mates. Twas hopin t'get some feedback on m'colors but neither time did I hear much from a one a ya. Take a look again n'tell me wot ya tink ...I am a professional artist and a pirate! I ken take any criticism ya give me ...just don't IGNORE me!
