I don't know if a monmouth can be modified, but when I made a thrum cap, I started by knitting a monmouth cap, and every 3 to 4 stitches, worked a half hitched 6" to 8" chunk of yarn on the "working yarn" into the cap. I made the cap almost twice as large as I wanted it finished and then felted it by running it through the washing machine and drier on hot.... The biggest problem with a thrum cap is that it it way too hot to ever wear (even in Winter)... and people keep asking you about a "Bad hair day".....

I'd never though of that.... France controls Mexico. The Presidente in exile and many Independent Mexicans moved North into New Mexico... Anyone want to supply a revolution? Also, the Confederacy of the United States and French Mexico are having some interesting squabbles over some of the islands in the Caribbean... (Fun place for some Steampunk sea going Pyracy...)

Thats all we go last night.... just enough to turn into a solid sheet of ice on the road this morning...... Two inches of snow isn't much... but then you can't see the ice under it... We get a lot of skiers who think they are invincible because they have 4-wheel drive..... My rule.... is to never drive faster than I want to slide into something..... Yeah... I just saw that the other night.... glad it wasn't a whole lot worse....

Nah... your too old to be a Patch Monkey... they are just young "Wild" boys....Once they reach puberty and their voice changes, they either sneak off the Airship, or join-up with the crew.... But ex-Powder Monkeys will never tell anyone, anything about how they live... some sort of secret oath.... But for real fun, join the Boarding Crew..... strap yourself into a quick release harness with hydrogen balloons and jump over to the other (target) Airship...... (Now I have to do a drawing of what that would look like........)
