It has a 16 inch playing surface and is a lovely 7 inches deep. (What a tone!)
Now.... who thinks the outer shell ought to be painted up with Mermaids (in the Celtic tradition) and such like??
(see example of Ravens below Bodhran)
Speak up mates... this be my last and BEST drum!
Candles to light the way and words of Prayer on the new Moon.
Comfort for those in transition and for those who will remain for a time longer.
They will all be in our circle.
"Elizabeth - The Golden Age" is terrific.
Wonderful sea battles and a little kick-in-the-pants to scruffy heros of the Period.
Not time for a full on review just now (will come back later ) but see it this weekend if you can
Ummm.... I would like to make it clear that it is just the additional encampment that we are doing away with.
The Band is still together still performing in all sorts of venues and we are simply meshing back with our original PRP encampment to save time, effort, space and have more time to be with friends.
Port O'New Providence is still viable AND working hard. (As this weekend proves with two gigs and one add on out in Encino at the Folk Music Festival)
Say.... where is the Mrs and that adorable daughter of yours?
Sorry I was too sick to make it back the 2nd weekend (cough) STILL have the bloom'n cough!
People do a double take at the glowing heart on me desk.... (chuckle) It seems to so far be a unanimous chorus of "What IS that??" (Never mind there is music coming out of it…)
Elizabeth is amazing... (saw it at screening) and I predict that people will see Clive Owen as something of a wee bit of a Swashbuckler after this.
He does a fine job but of course.... Rush as Walsingham is, as usual, terrific and yes ladies just ragged enough to still have a little Barbossa swagger…
But you want amazing? Keep an eye on the WIGS as much as the costume. Truly awe inspiring!
OMG... which one?
The one on hydraulics has been trashed, the huge model is in Bruckheimer back yard, one has been specifically made for charity events and sails around... working ones dismantled, take your pick!
Well okay... so at first I thought this was really stupid.
But (shrug) what can I do? I had to have it.
Davy Jones Chest as a CD player and guess what? It's not bad! Really too funny. The Crab motif in front is all of the controls with the center of the thing the digital read out! Good sound (Perfect for an office)
And the heart.... lights up and beats a glowing red while the CD's play. Yeah, yeah I know..... little storage areas on the sides (where the chain links are)
Oh dear.....what can I say....
One of them.... there was more then one since there was more then one Black Pearl.
I'm sure it was screen used and that the auction made a note that is was not a one and only.
Right.... it was the gateway of the original "King Kong"
Yet... Davey's banacle clusters are some of them sitting on my Tiki Bar.
Mai Tai's and film history. Gotta love it!
It's hard to say ladies... and since they are on the *other* coast.... I have no input or direct connections.
When they stuck the set here on the lot they just trashed the whole thing Not so sad for me though... I gathered up lots of the foam barnacles and a few planks from the Dutchman so....
Hello.
Pirate.
