  1. Hmmm is someone entitled to royalties?

Yeah... wouldn't THAT be nice... but if they change three things on the image it's not considered a *likeness* (Bite me!)

Oh well, at least she DOES have her place in Disney Pop Culture now.

  2. OMG....

Thay have put a likeness of our Pub Sea Dog Phoebe on a Tee Shirt out at Disneyland!

We are both.... dumb struck.

Her logo is on the front and the back is a scene of the Pirates coaxing the dog from the cells. The dog on the back it NOT phoebe and that is obvious.

WHo knew she'd ever make good?

  3. First off what the hell happened to the pub, I know its been awhile, but Jeez?

Second, a little farther south and you could have really had the need for a patch.

    Nice Scar

    SWEET!!!

Now where the HELL have you been you scoundrel!????

  4. Yes, the overwhelming reaction to your story wasn't what you hoped for, but it was absolutely the right response. Frankly, if you really want to fight with swords, you should get some actual training - and don't touch a sword again unless you are completely sober.

And THAT... will help keep you alive, unscarred and unscathed!

I know, I know... the allure of the *pirate* scar. I have plenty of em'.... arms, above the right eye and breast. But they are no prize well won when you get them doing something as careless as this.

Everyone here as the best of intentions for you lad. No one is trying to kick yer enthusiasms to the curb. But when you look bad we all look bad.

And believe me... you do NOT want me to come up there!

  5. Wow.

This literally turned into the exact opposite of what I thought it would.

I'm not saying that everyone or anyone for that matter here, is silly and immature enough to do what I've done. I just thought this would have at least been something people just laughed at.

I did not mean to offend anyone, nor did I intend to make anyone look bad, and I sincerely apologize for that.

In the future, not only due to this thread, there will not be anymore shenanigans...

Just keep yer self alive fer us boy. :P

    Unharmed and unscathed.

  6. This may be an odd question but... are you insane?

There is no such thing as a *small* mishap where swords are concerned.

You are of course all grown up... :P and can do any bloody foolish thing that it enters yer mind to do. Sober OR drunk.

    However...

Stuff like this gives the rest of us a bad name. :P

I have been sword fighting and working with bladed weaponry for over 30 years and worked my arse off on keeping safety and respect an issue. To have just a single beer before a fight, let alone be drunk and party-giddy and pick up a real weapon is just plan stupid. Sorry mate.... I see it as stupid, fool hardy and very selfish on the part of the fighters.

Look at me! Look at me!

Is being the focus of a momentary frolic at a party really worth an eye? Going to the hospital? HURTING ANOTHER PERSON PERHAPS SERIOUSLY?

Yeah, you got stupid-lucky this time mate. ;)

I may sound harsh and prudish and you may take an issue with what I have to say but I respect my weapons and the weapons of others. I respect my craft as a fighter. I’ve earned it. Fighting while drunk, even for a lark and with the consent of your opponent is just plain asinine.

Before you do anything like this again I hope you'll consider not only your well being but that of those around you. Very often a sword swung in fun and with too much uncontrolled force will snap and shoot out into someone not even involved. I've seen it done...

And I watched a drunken lout cost someone an eye for it.

But then HE was having a good time...

Pray be more guarded in your fighting choices the next time you party.

  7. Come Aboard mates!

  8. So then why not a few of ya'll get together and write the script then send it to Disney???

    No, no... don't so that...

It will only go to legal and get shipped back unread.

Too much work for no attention.

  9. I have a wonderful costumer... that uses boning that is dipped in latex so it's firm, yet very flexale and never pokes through!

And I agree, teh longer the sodice/corset the better. I am long waisted and have been wearing these things more years then I care to count. And indeed, and Irish overderss IS a much easier alternative!

I am in the midst of having a new outfit made that is part Pirate Coat and part skirting. Long in the waist to support me singing, fighting or loving... (did I say that with my outside voice??)

Go for a bodice and or overdress made to fit YOU. Get it custom made if you can.

    You won't be sorry.

  10. Well then haul up a barrel and sit ya down....

Welcome to the Pub. You'll fnid it a friendly harbor with lots to do (mind you keep weather eye on yer purse when in here!)

And I'll be after having a Mai Tai if'n you please...

  11. They take some time to do but I enjoy it and the members are very happy with their cards.

    Joe

    Hey!!

Wait a sec... you mean I could pay to get cards made from that awesome selection you sent me?

To pass out here at Disney????? :D

    How? How??

  12. Well... I DO Love me Sea Dragon hilt... The pommel is a claw holding a labradorite.

And you can post pictures of yer progress here.

    Sweet!

Send me yer mailing address in a PM?

  13. Now, Bess, I'm not THAT bad. I was, and still am a very big John Wayne fan. But, I was driving cross-country at that time as a truck driver, and when I was in town, he was just recovering from his valve transplant. I didn't want to disturb him. Just trying to be a nice guy. So that is why I missed out. And yeah, I still regret it to this day!

(chuckle) See? Pirates with a heart never prosper!

I know it's his reputation... but that man WAS the biggest man I ever saw. He had the hands of a B-Ball player!

  14. [

Thanks for the corrections; Bess which Treasure Island and which Mobey Dick was the Sultan in, and what year was Donavan's Reef?

The ship was used in the 1950 Disney version of Treasure Island, it then became the *Sultana* for the BBC TV Show the Buccaners and was then made over for the John Huston film of Mobey Dick in 1956.

Donavan's Reef was shot in 1963

You owe me Ice Cream.

  15. Really??

    Wow! Cool!...

Now I'm not sure which to have adjusted... I love m'Rose and Thorne but I think this Sea Dragon may look more Pyratey...

    What do you think??

    SeaDragonHilt.jpg

The grip was always a little long fer me but it's the curse of the magnificent hilt cage!

    Thoughts?
