  1. I've been hooked on Rye Whiskey by The Pirates Charles
  2. A little late but any case happy birthday!
  3. I played when it first came out and I'm loading it up again to give the trial another try. Should be fun times
  4. You can add me if you'd like Link is in my signature
  5. With the economic downfall at an all time high lots of kids are going without gifts this year. So make sure you do your part at putting smiles on those kids faces and make a donation to your local Toys For Tots, even if it's a dollar store toy they won't tell the difference, it's the thought that counts and I'm sure they will be so happy to get something this year.
  6. I was on my first sailboat over the summer. I'm hoping to learn because I want to own a live-aboard
  7. It would still be nice to swim with friends when at the lake. I always end up sitting on the shore like while they take off, it sucks lol
  8. I've been looking around for a free online pirate games and figured I'd make a list for others. This is what I cam up with, feel free to add. Dogs of the seas(This game is alright but cannot be played nonstop) Pirates of the burning sea(Id rather not pay to play, did that for years with wow) Puzzle Pirates(got tired of it) Bounty Bay Online (it's ok, played it for a year and got tired) Voyage Century Online (it's the same as BBO just different items) Zepirates (haven't played it yet, having mixed thoughts) World of Pirates (bad graphics) Pirates of the Caribbean online (you get to a point where you hit a wall unless you pay money) Bigpoint's Seafight (a little to complex and complected for my liking) Florensia Online (seems pretty cool, nice clean graphics, mmo, ships, pirates. I'll check that out)
  9. A little off topic but where I live we would swim in 60 degree weather, that's warm to us. Someone told me that people who live in FL look at tourist funny when they swim down there during the winter.
  10. Ahoy lads, finding it hard to keep my time fulfilled with pyracy related events in the cold months of the winter here in the north. I live in WA and it gets pretty cold out so it's not like I can go sailing, all the tailship events are over, and the depression of not because able to go to PiP is starting to sink in. So for ye pirates in the colder climates what piracy related activates do you partake in? Wish I could be playing Sid Myers Pirates but can't find it I guess I could make some flags or something.
  11. I believe that varies by location. The Salem, Oregon, Y just started adult classes. The five week course costs $25 for members, $75 for non-members. Oh that isn't bad at all and the fact they have adult classes is cool, I would hate to get stuck with 10 year olds lol.
  12. They say old dogs can't learn new tricks but they disproved that on Mythbusters so I'm 24 years old and I never learned how to swim. I understand the basic concept, I've seen videos but I dont know what I'm doing wrong. I love the water, the ocean, I want to own a boat and I think if I'm going to buy and live on a sailboat I should learn how to swim. Here is the kicker, I can swim for about 10 feet then I get tired and sink, I can't float on my back and I don't know how to wade so in order for me to even attempt to swim I have to be able to touch the bottom. Also I know how to snorkel, love it been doing it for years but as soon as my head comes above the water I start to sink. I've tried the side breathing but can only take one breath until it starts to feel like my chest is going to cave in. If you have any pointers for a fellow pirate please help. I think when I get the money I'll go to a local college to learn but until then I'm trying my best. (side note) My role playing as a pirate I had a back story that's kind of funny about not being able to swim. My ship wrecked and I was lucky enough to get a piece of drift wood until I floated to an island where I stayed for months until I was able to barter my way aboard a passing ship but giving them palm tree sculptures I made from boredom on the island.
  13. That's just a list i found, copied and pasted
  14. Just wondering if anyone plays the myspace app Pirates? I'm in need of building up my crew and would love to add you.

  16. You know, as long as you call it home then it's home. You don't need a label to tell you that, to some people a lean to is home. I wish this state I live in was like Alaska, you can build yourself a home in the woods and have it be legit. I don't know what my point it really, just babbling.
  17. Thanks for the kind words. That's pretty much what I'm doing, thinking to myself no matter how hard I might think I have it, there is always someone out there worse then me. A lot of people ask me "well arn't you getting unemployment" nope, no I am not. I filed for it and went on their ride for four weeks until they denied me. I found out that the company I work for doesn't have to pay the unemployment if they chose not to, and that's what happened. I'm getting good ol' food stamps though so that's always good. Life gives you lemons and you gotta make lemonade.
  18. So, first off I'm happy to be back on the forums. I was getting a little home sick, you guys are like the family I never had, hoopla! This summer and fall has been pretty eventful for me, none of it good really. seem like when you work your way to the top the devil is there to drag you back down. First thing that happened, lost my job. I was working as a Lab Tech for an eyeglass center making glasses in the career field of health care. It was a nice gig, plan on going down that career path still. The place I was working for ended up getting new management and they thought it would be cheaper to fire me and my lead, close the lab down and move the work to GA. It was a little cold hearted, no pre-warnings. My lead had been working there 20 years and they kicked us out like yesterdays news paper. That was three months ago, I can't find anything in this town, it's like I'm competing with the whole city. Then, in the mist of my job search's my car tabs expair, money to fix that, then my window stops rolling up, money to fix that, then my battery dies, money to fix that, then I get a flat tire, money to fix that, then a parking ticket for being parked facing the wrong way, money to take care of that. That was all with in two weeks of it's self. If that wasn't enough I ended up moving out of the apartment I was living in because I found out my room mate, someone I've known for 9 years, a 25 year old man was a pedophile. Found out he was bringing high school girls back to our place, giving them drinks and doing the deed with them. 15 and 16 year old girls because I guess he was scared of real women, so go after young girls who have no experience in life or general. Hes a predator so I moved out and filed a police report, I haven't heard from him since. So now I'm living in my parents basement at 23 years old almost 24. I had it all to, money, car, home and now it's all gone over one summer, just like that. It's funny the cards life deals you sometimes. But I'm making the best of it, I did get to go sailing for the first time this summer which was a blast and a half. Eh, maybe I'll grab my guitar, a bag and travel to the Keys. I've always wanted to live there! I work in health care so finding a job is easy, it's just finding someone who is hiring. Moving across the country would be tuff....hey! Anyone need a room mate hehe
  19. I was marinating some pork chops about three days ago, forgot about them and just cooked them up. Best damned pork chops I ever had, I should do that more often.
