She is recovering nicely but will still have to undergo some nasty further treatments but she's pretty tough little cookie .......Now mates let me tell you .....how sweet is this I can honestly say that "I never heard you say that" is possible since at least for now the best she can do is whisper ....so no yelling or screaming if I stay out too late with the fellows or that I don't talk long when I call .....so my visits are pretty quiet...she has whispered something about "watch out for a cast iron skillet" that i didn't quite understand so I'll just go about being my usual semi-conscious self and stumble along through life. The sawbones have called her with news this day.... she has to go back to hospital the first of the week for further tests the biopsy came back with bad news....We're trying to stay positive hoping with as much as they removed, they got the worst of it. They removed over 4 and a half pounds of tissue from her throat. Please keep her in your prayers
-
Slainte ....Congratulations to the entire family hope all is well ....nothing like welcoming a new little lovely to the world of cut-throat pyrates
-
She's stabilized as of this evening...I want to thank you all for the prayers/thoughts you have sent via old ways, new age, or however ...it has meant a lot to both of us .....after almost 7 hours in surgery, she is holding up fairly well but she was pretty exhausted when I left the hospital ...the reduction of that large growth on her throat is now gone and her neck is once again looking pretty good ...please if you would keep her in your prayers and thoughts for a speedy and complete recovery ......more news to come!!
-
Here's to the lass whom if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be on this site...so it's all your fault!!! hope you have a grand brithday lass!!!

She has come out of surgery and is still in recovery but she's still not out of the woods yet ....a major issue is still being watched the dr's are concerned that her windpipe could collapse due to the removal of over 5 pounds of tissue from her throat with an additional transfusion of 2 units of blood....and her left vocal cord is partially if not totally paralyzed ...that will be a wait and see game on that one .... thanks to one and all who have sent and offered your prayers and best wishes ....
-
She's been in surgery 5 hours now we're still waiting for word for her to be out of the OR .....I'll keep the word coming ........

Ahoy Mates! Here's asking for your prayers for Salty as she goes into surgery today to have an enlarged thyroid removed. It has grown to rather extreme proportions and it has be removed because it has begun to obstruct her airway and her larynx. She'll be in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Say a prayer that everything comes out without any complications, Thank you mates. She is a pretty incredible young woman...
