  1. That song is the coolest! So you've aged another year Now you know that Death is near Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!> Doom, destruction, and despair Grief and sorrow fill the air Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!> Pay attention, you must learn First you pillage, THEN you burn. Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>
  2. I'm ready for a vacation too, but that's not going to happen any time soon. At least I don't have the flu - my heart really goes out to everyone who is suffering from it right now. I'm still going through some of the lingering afteraffects of my defective hypothalamus a week and a half ago, but at least my emotions aren't all over the place. Boy, was that tiresome; I'm usually pretty rational, so I get very peeved when my emotions run away with me like that and for no reason but hormones out of whack. I've never experienced PMS but can now sympathize in a big way.
  3. Of course, you could age your trim to make it a tad more authentic. Me mate Iron Jack found some lovely trim and singed it a bit before attaching it to his hat (singed the feathers and added a "bullet hole" to it as well.)
  4. It's a kick in the pants - I laughed more watching it than I had in a long time. --Why's it gone? -- Here today - gone tomorrow
  5. Hmmm.... My Pirate Name comes out to Blue Hypothalamus Jill. I think I'll stick to Red-Handed Jill.
  6. Huzzah, Diego! Glad to hear that you're better. It's a shame you had to miss the Tall Ships, event, though.
  7. The over-the-counter stuff doesn't quite work for me and the prescription stuff has horrible side effects. At one point I was given cafergot and after it kicked in, I fell down and started convulsing. THAT wasn't fun. When I was 17-18 I had a migraine that lasted eight months. As in non-stop 24/7. I was tested for everything and no one could come up with a reason for it, so instead we looked at making it go away. I ended up being trained in biofeedback, which helped immensely. If I can catch the migraine in time, I can control it to the point where I can go through my day with relatively little pain (like the average person's headache.)
  8. Christine, have you tried feverfew? I'm prone to migraines also and just this week heard that feverfew taken daily helps with the blood vessels and lessens the frequency, duration and intensity of migraines.
  9. Got both fingers AND toes crossed for you, Ciaran.
