Well ladies, normally I don't "share". I failed "sandbox" as a child and repeatedly was given the now infamous "Doesn't play well with others". However, I can be persueded to share on occasion. Siren knows full well how much I "shared" my gold with the "Plunder Bunnies". A "Doc Sandwich" sounds interesting

Now I'll have to find a new place to store the "spoils". Off to find a shovel or a nice cave....

I started with a Google search and then hit it through NQG.

I would think that if you were able to get firm attendance numbers for the various Pyrate Fests like PIP and others. Figure in a percentage of duplicate attendees (those who attend more than one fest). You'd be close. Might add in those who frequent the various Renn Faires and SCA types to round out the numbers. But since there's no actual "International Federation of Pyrate Portrayers" from which to glean membership numbers, I think the best you could do is a solid estimate.

Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups. If it's being done right at home or abroad it's not being done by any government agency. The more I deal with people the more I love my dog. Hurry up and have a nice day before some idiot screws it up. Thanks to Merrydeath, Doc's cabana has been resurrected and properly stocked. Hopin FiFi isn't too miffed about the displacement. ...After a long day of resituating the acoutrements, a dip in the lagoon is in order.... Doc strips down to the Essentials, grabs a jug and his tankard and heads for the glistening shore. The warm water soothes the aches and pains and slowly his mind begins to wander.....

All this talk of Disneyland is makin me homesick. Last time I was there was more than 20 years ago. Went to Disneyworld several years ago. Didn't like it as much as Cali but that just may be nostalgia talking. Out this way, Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) is far more fun.
