How do feel? Well. . .a mixture really nervous concern for my Mom who will be going into surgery soon. Glad, that my Grandma is down from Ohio to look after me. Sad, because God seems to be closing a door to something I really liked doing (Pirate Fest, If you want more info PM pm me). Exspecting, for when one door closes another one opens. Excited, I am turing the big "3" "0" (Hey I am a big kid at heart!)

UPDATE:

I had to not continue with the show my Mom goes in for a total hip replacement Oct 24 (Yes on my birthday) and my friend that takes me out has asma and was getting worse everytime we went to rehrehersals. So I will not be part of cast, I will still go to fest however. Don't be too sad for me I am really happy the way it all worked out. Besides it means I can work on my orginal plan of bringing the mermaid back to life, for next year. I have a wonderful idea I just need to find some pirates. If any one is interested and you live in Central FL E-mail me.

I love the colours in this dress and the way they shade from turquoise, to blue to navy to violet -- that would be a cool effect for a mermaid tail!

For a top, I envision a quilted bodice in pale turquoise, embroidered with silver thread and studded with seed-pearls.

A long time ago, my boss went to a party as a mermaid and Jack O'Neil (of wet suit fane was her date... he was dressed as Posidian).... but she made the tail part of the costume where she couldn't walk in it (hey mermaids can't really walk, now can they...)

So for the entire night, she got "passed around".... everyone played with the idea of it.......

I've seen the mermaids that can walk in kinda hobble skirt kinda tails.... but dang.... I still like the concept of my bosse's mermaid......

I can't walk so either way I need another wway to get around, the tail I had last time was too confining and hard to use in the privy. This year there will be no mermaid for me, but I definately plan to do it next year. I have a great plan. I just need a couple of strong sailors to go with me.

If you were to go as a high class courtesan, or perhaps a Lady who likes to 'dabble' for a coin or two.  What better way to 'suprises' your audience...or victims 

If you give 'away' the element of surprise...(who would expect a woman of position/or fame to be the best cut-throat gambler in towne?!) it doesn't leave much for 'playing' your part.  And if you go with 'the unexpected role', this would give your character a large amount of 'play'.

Speaking as one myself, nothing pleases me more than to see the expression upon a man's face and leave him 'spent' in more ways than one!

That is so true, however I am not looking for answers when I come here with a question. Rather I come to ask opinons, I already had an idea of what I would like and just wanted to hear other ideasand so now armed with this information, I have seen things in a different light it is always good to get a different view of the same picture, and for that I thank you all!

Great, first it was Mermaid in red…

now its this it will play in my head all night

For the top...Mayhaps a corset or bodice top made of the same material as your fins?

Deeper colors would be very flattering with your dark hair. I like Siren's idea for the top, but I would suggest using a different color from your fins...you could say you aquired it from an unfortunate she-sailor/pirate/boat passenger.

I love my seashell bra, but I felt half naked in it! Probley not great for a family show.
