It should be between 4-5 hours in drive time for me. I may just take the whole week since I was planning to be in Orlando the prior weekend, and now my Irish gang asked if I would stick around for Flogging Molly on the Thursday thereafter...though, I could also drive back the Sunday before and then just take Thursday and Friday off, leaving me to only have to trek the 90 minutes or so from Orlando to Auggie and plus having gotten to see Molly as well! Either way, if it is the weekend of the 7th & 8th- I will be there!

So, I mentioned at PiP to a few people that I have managed a superhero costume here or there, and I promised to post pics. So, here they are... The Dark Phoenix (Original costume) The Black Widow (Ultimate Universe version) Dawn There are many other comic book girls I want to recreate - Scarlet Witch, Marvel Girl, the green and gold phoenix costume, Batgirl, and I am even thinking about the Tim Burton version of Catwoman. Lets not get into why I have a whole bunch of stretchable latex in my posession.... So, what non-piratey costumes have you done over the years?

Did someone mention punk? That was 2005, what I looked like near every day. Though I believe the pink dreads were braided in for valentine's day.

Just looked at the dates, and I am a tad bit nervous, as I am already confirmed for MegaCon in Orlando February 27 - March 1st. I've been going to that con every year since 1994, and at this point, there are several people flying from the UK and Ireland who are expecting me (and my presence was requested by some of those folks at the Flogging Molly concert in Orlando on March 5 and I am trying to see if I can swing that. oi! I am not sure requesting a full week off from work within my first 90 days is so very wise...) Here's to hoping that 2009 has this moved back a bit....*crosses fingers*

If we wind up crossing paths in St. Augustine in March, bug me about sword play... I've been working with wife and the other couple (Nick and Ashley) on the same methods used by the Archangel Crewe, which I hear are fairly compatable with what many of the other crewes are using.... Oh goodie! Something else to bug you about! I did tell Kate that you guys were likely to be stuck with me. hehe Now we just need to get rid of that pesky "if" in the beginning of your statement, and all will be well with the world!

You are far too kind! And as for this Steam-Alternative-FF-Serene-Verse thingie-ma-bob......can I just say "SQUEEEE!". Which translates roughly into "My, I think I have some interest in perhaps participating in this event, and shall endeaver, with some excitement, into seeing if I can possibly attend".

So! (That was damned easy) (how firm is the "nice" rule? I thought pirates were supposed to play dirty!) Told ye it was easy. And we are only required to play nice with other pyrates (they have guns ye know); anyone else is fair game! EXCELLENT! Hopefully I will have a tent of me own by then. Now, who wants to teach me how to use the cutlass I bought from Callenish??

My injuries did not require an doctors visits, but I did take a picture of the gnarly back and blue my foot received when a certain cannon was rolled over it. heh And wearing heels today back at the office has been a less than delightful experience, alas. All the same, I would go back in a heartbeat and have another cannon rolled over my other toe if it meant having the much fun again!

Although, I do believe there has already been a photo put up in a certain blonde's photo bucket of Madd d'Dogge in a lovely bonnet... The rum in me flask was Ron Atlantico Private Cask. Alas, I could only find one bottle before PiP, but I shall try to gather up more'n one before next time so people can have more'n a sip! I tried to make it last through Friday and Saturday, but by Saturday eve I just left the bottle on the table and it wasn't long before it was long gone, ALAS & ALACK.
