*Continues to go about updating her status* It's looking like I will have to back out of this event, despite all the great chatter and demands that I attend from PiP. Finances are tight as I am trying to buy a condo and the cost of flying/hotel/clothing etc is just looking to be prohibitive, alas.

I have had a slight change in plans. I had been planning to do the full PIP event this year, as school precluded my participation until Friday in 2008. Alas, it seems I will be using up all my paid time off in November for a trip back to Ireland as it is one of my closest friends' 30th birthday and there is going to be quite a bash. Of course, I AM still planning to attend PiP....it will just sadly be another year where at best I arrive in the wee hours on Friday night and have to leave Sunday.

With absolute certainty and without a moments hesitation.....we are. whose gittin the better deal?? ah.... .....yeah...thats wot i meant too.... ....no really....thats wot i meant...?!?!? (ppsssttt....they're not readin this are they??) uh-huh........ and reading it with over a week to plot and plan....... You bring the hot sauce, I'll bring the nair. And he thought the hair cut at PIP was bad!

I always wondered where people in Florida went for vacations. :angry: Yeah, I told my Family I am going to Columbus, Ohio for my birthday. They are bewildered. But, then again, I've bewildered them for a long time, so its nothing new!

My flight is booked! That means I am officially invading....er.....participating! Also....BIRTHDAY TRIP! YAY!

Alas, my next two weekends are scheduled to the gills in Orlando, with MegaCon and Flogging Molly and friends coming in from around the globe. But I hope to see pics from the folks that do attend!

I have some dread falls that I made yeaaars ago, that are MASSIVE and I love them. They are kanekalon backcombed, twisted and steamed into dreads in multiple thicknesses and colors as well as Colinette .5 wool yarn in Zebra that I hand dyed a dusty rose.

That hardly seems fair. People have already recently seen my tattoos!

That looks awesome pyrateleather! As I mentioned earlier in the thread, my standard work attire is tending towards the punkish, and I found the pic I referenced. You can't really tell, but that is a tweed fitted vest with (imitation, I'm sure) crocodile styled leather trim at the pockets and leather buttons. I could see using that and the blouse rather easily. And yet, both were purchased within the last 3-4 months at Bebe!

I too have a bodhran! Ye can see it there on my wall (old pic from about 3 years ago, but its the only one I got where ye can see the thing!) I do not, however, have any idea how to play it, alas. So anyone who wants to point in the proper direction would be greatly appreciated. I also picked up my guitar again, after not playing for several years. Calluses are returning slowly yet painfully. heh

I have a totally non-PC bodice from Damsel in this Dress that I have yet to wear at all, so I might dig that out. Since it's rennie, I'm less concerned and it would give me a chance to wear something I wouldn't be able to get away with at a PC event.

Oh my goodness! I so need to clear time in my schedule to read this!

I believe that several of the cast are planning on attending the event - I will try to keep this thread updated with information on it, but check the CONgaloosh site for updates as well, since the actual registration procedure for the night at the club (limited to 75 guests) has not yet been revealed.
