But I think thar be a better tale to tell. Disney University??? Might ye have been a fair mermaid in a past life????
Nope, I was a TechKNOWLEDGEist at EPCOT Innoventions when I was 18.

On the real Badger, I hear Mark (Sheppard) is very nice. Awe heck, the whole gang are nice. You should hear about the great things they've done for their die hard Firefly fans (and vice versa).
He really is - and the man can TALK. lol But you are absolutely right - from the convention that nearly never was all the way forward, the cast has been really spectacular to the fans.

I think Cap'n Tightpants and I make a cute couple....
-
I wanted to keep him....
FYI - I was wearing about a 3' heel in this picture. The man is TALL.
edit: the necklace I am wearing in the pic is a little green leaf - for Wash!

Get enough rum in ya and you'll swagger with the best of 'em!

Oh, and RedJessi, are those Flogging Molly tickets available yet? Been a huge fan for many a year!
Aye, got my tickets ordered and set for delivery. You coming to the show?
-
Thank you. I don't know if it's a credit to your costuming, my knowledge of all things geek, or both that I recognized all of your costumes without reading the captions.
Even Dawn? Well done, indeed, sir! She's a bit obscure for most!
Wasn't she a redhead who was a pin up drawing? She married the god of death or something like that?
Aye, she is the Goddess of birth and rebirth and the lover of Cernnunos, AKA the God of death (in this particular mythology anyway). She is one of the elder Gods and can travel across all the planes, with the proper sigil. The roses on one arm are the key to hell and the chains on the other are the key to heaven.
Me and some of the Askewnivese gang dressed up as Mooby employees for last years MegaCon.
And since he's been mentioned, here's me getting a pic signed by BADGER!

Anyone heard from the "Thatchers" yet? I know we had snow/ice in southeast MO, and and Tenessee and Kentucky had some too. Hope they had no trouble with that! I forgot to make sure they had my contact info in case they needed help from this end. I forgot to record their info in my book from the post-it note and can't find it. Anyway, I hope they are all safe and sound with tons of memories! I'm charging them copies of their photos for using my tents! (but they don't know it yet! Heee Heee!)

As of Monday when we left, I heard they were staying an extra day....can anyone confirm that? and does anyone know how long of a drive they were planning on?
I can confirm they were planning on staying an extra day, but I have no idea how long a drive they were accounting for.

Dang!! Jessi you never even said ouch! You are one tough cookie. I remember Kate's skirt getting tangled in the wheel when we were backing her up, nut you never said a word about your toe. OUCH!!
Ye can thank me training at Disney University, wherein we had it drilled into our collective heads of knuckle that no matter what happens "on set", "guests" should never know anything is awry. So while one part of me may have wanted to hop around and drop a few choice obscenities, the fact that there was an audience precluded it.
MA d'Dogge, ye think me feet are big, ye should see me......
-
Awesome! I was hoping someone got shots of the impromptu jam session in the Hide. Jessi, are you going to post all your pics somewhere? I took some really curious ones that interested me with your camera that I'd like to see.
Yes, once I get them all in, I will post the link. :) So far, I've only got Friday up.
-
I will try to get more up this evening.

Slowly getting my pics color corrected and online. So far, I've only got Friday completed. Here are a few of my faves:

Old West...BADGER! *ahem*
That would be me as the Green Lantern, with my wife as Supergirl, and her best friend Jen as Batgirl. I think this is from two or three Halloween's ago.
Hauteness!

Yar, I did take those two, Kate. I was going to try and get my own shots up this eve, but I cannot find the connector for my adapter. I think my sister "borrowed" it at some point....
*Shoots MAd'Dogge an evil glare

Nicely done, sir!

My injuries did not require an doctors visits, but I did take a picture of the gnarly back and blue my foot received when a certain cannon was rolled over it. heh And wearing heels today back at the office has been a less than delightful experience, alas. All the same, I would go back in a heartbeat and have another cannon rolled over my other toe if it meant having the much fun again!
that can be arranged...
How soon?

I am tired, an worn out. UNlike ye fair lads and lasses who got t' go a piratin' this weekend. I was stuck in a rather stressful environment. That bein' a play I agreed to do under one director-who left...and now I am stuck under another one who is by far one of the worst out there. Add my school work to that (Though I be nigh done) and I have a cocktail for bein drained.
But soon ye get to come to Florida and we we go Japenese garden touring, and kareoking, and to The Field where we will have BLACKSMITHS and all will be right with the world!
If the thought of spendin' time with me is wots keepin' ye sane, they ye ARE in sorry shape, indeed, lad!!
But don't ye fret, we'll hit The Flats too and have some Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally hot sauce - that will make everything else in your life seem perfectly sane.
This is true, and this is keepin' me sane at the moment

Boondock Saints

Cooked or uncooked oatmeal? I think the uncooked kind might actually sting more...

If my memory is correct, the event was on the weekend of March 7th to 8th... So you should be fine there... but i will check the pamphlet I got from William when I get home tonight to make sure.... Jessi, I'm not sure how long of a drive it will be for you, but if yopu are within 4 or 5 hours of St. Augustine, you should be able to make this event without taking time off... I only need to book time off as it is an 11 hour drive.
Rev. Sam, it would be great if you were around and could come out for this one!
Please not I orginally posted Feb. 7th and 8th... This event is in March and NOT February.
It should be between 4-5 hours in drive time for me. I may just take the whole week since I was planning to be in Orlando the prior weekend, and now my Irish gang asked if I would stick around for Flogging Molly on the Thursday thereafter...though, I could also drive back the Sunday before and then just take Thursday and Friday off, leaving me to only have to trek the 90 minutes or so from Orlando to Auggie and plus having gotten to see Molly as well!
Either way, if it is the weekend of the 7th & 8th- I will be there!

So, I mentioned at PiP to a few people that I have managed a superhero costume here or there, and I promised to post pics. So, here they are...
The Dark Phoenix (Original costume)
The Black Widow (Ultimate Universe version)
Dawn
There are many other comic book girls I want to recreate - Scarlet Witch, Marvel Girl, the green and gold phoenix costume, Batgirl, and I am even thinking about the Tim Burton version of Catwoman. Lets not get into why I have a whole bunch of stretchable latex in my posession....
So, what non-piratey costumes have you done over the years?
