Ok Caraccioli, Let me reveiw here you would like to see another method of understanding come about as there is in some way for you a problem with the scientific method. Not a replacment but a third system of reasoning. I'm just guessing here but from you're posts it would seem your issue is with the high level of proof reguired in the scientific method. I could be way off base here but from the looks of things this could be brought on by a number of current and past events. Most notable would be the inability of some to understand that evolution (although in my opinion correct) is still just a theory. (kinda like it's a theory that my ciggaretts cause lung cancer another I agree with by the by) If this is a correct presumption then my argument agianst a new system of reasoning would be that the high standared of proof and the resulting theory's that do not become rules is quite the point. Before I go into a rant I'll stop since I could very well be 180 out and preaching to the choir

You beat me to the punch on recommending mister Lambdins efforts Ransom.As to PO'B I love every book I've read in the series and hope to get 21 and the box set soon. Personally I have yet to find a need to skip through any part of the books although I do admit to not understanding every thing I read. I hope to pick up sea of words when I get some spare cash. Also for those who have trouble picking em up used at the book store get em used from Amazon.com quite frankly I gave up on the used book shelf at my local stores as the propritors all agreed that they just don't get em in. While we're at it any Clive Cussler fans in these waters I've read all his stuff from Pacific Vortex to the latest Kurt Austin adventure witch I bought for myself this Christmas.

Quick firearms thought here, Even though I love the hump back browning and a good side by side double (in sweet 16 as a prefrence and when did all these d**n yuppies decide to "rediscover" my favorite cartridge I feel so much less unique) there is nothing in the realm of the shotgun quite as pleasing as that lovely sound made when one racks the slide on an old trombone gun. My personal fav. is my 835 Mossy but the remington 870 express tactical style my friend gave me for Christmas has taken it's place as my home defence gun (well aside from my colt police revolver in .38 special.)

Lots of luck on that but may I reguest first that we explain the scientific method to the majority of "science experts" as well as the definition of theory. Also what limitations do you see with it ....... could be my mechanical mind refusing to leave the "box" agian but really what limiting factors do you find with that open of a method.
