By way of a more direct answer to your question I have no refrences to sailors wearing copper earings but then given the limited number of refrences I have this should not surprise anyone.

It is dated on the site as OoP but you may wanna look at rustic arms French trade gun (scroll down some) it's longest barrel is 42". It looks about right but then I haven't studied the finer points of the Tulle design changes. Speaking of anybody got a good refrences for what changed when with these guns?

I stoped useing IE a long time back for just that reason. I perfer Opera to IE or any of the other alternative browsers but then thats just me. Wish they had a google bar for it but beyond that I have no complaints. My only real conceren is that as a rec. user now my suite of tools might get outdated while I'm not paying attention.

HMMMMMM, I run Ad Aware Spybot and AVG free edition with Opera as a browser. Just as a question any reccomandations for changes?

As a quick visual refrence if you have any of Patrick Obriens books around there is a diagram at the front of every one of em of a square rigged ship with it's sails set out to dry in a calm. It's not period nor is it as complete and understanding as whats been given thus far however it is a handy little diagram if like me you need help getting all this sorted and perfer paper to crt.

First off let me say that as a firearms FREAK I hate to see the idea of them put down even if those wiser than I are the ones that reccomend such. As for me the list would look something like this, Firearms Patrick Hands idea for a sketch book type deal navagation/scientific instruments gun tools bottles cartridge box pocket knives buttons Ship Models (both advanced and begginer) Hawkyns idea for sword hilts flags (not just of a pirate nature but other nautical flags likely to be aboard.) Now in all honesty if all of these items were on the market today the first that I would purchase would be the gun tools followed by the sketch book. Also I would like to apologize if the list is rather oddly compiled as I tried to stick with the idea of what I most wanted top to bottom.
