Gotta share mateys. I wents ta me local Chinese restaurant fer takeout last night (only one in town). Had ta wait 10 minutes for the order to be ready. I'm sitting in the waiting area next to the window and notice that by the door they had this stack of shelves with stuff on it marked $1.00 for everything. Most of the stuff was plastic kids toys, some shiney wrapping paper, some plasic flowers, and some Chinese decorated hanging gords. I was looking over the gords when I happened to dig up, right in the middle of the pile, a little hand made wooden Chinese pirate ship, in a clear plastic box. It had a different price on it. Since it WAS on the $1.00 shelf, I aske…

Well I got me a felt hat blank and steamed me up a fair tricorn if I do say so. Also got some 'gold' (well, gold colored metallic anyway) braid, and I'm wonderin' what'd be th' best adhesive t' affix it with. Somethin' fairly invisible like. Any ideas? TIA!

I thinking of adding a sash to my basic getup, but am not sure how to incorporate it. Usually I wear a leather jerkin over my (untucked) shirt, with a belt and baldric both over top of the jerkin. For those who wear a sash, jerkin, and belt all together, what goes over what? (I can't really live without the belt... too many necessities hang from it.) TIA!

Greetings, when I was in Key West, I had a top 'borrowed' from our booth. Here is a pic of it. If you happen to see it being worn somewhere, let me know. It was mostly a one of a kind top, with silver coins that jingled, with black beads hanging down. Oh and the headpiece of silver coins AND the aqua swimsuit top was taken too. I can't replace any of it, so I would like to have it back. If it was taken by accident, please let me know you have it. jingly top. webwench007@hotmail.com

I have posted a design I thought some of you may like. The white shirts are transfers and the Black shirts are screen printed. We take orders for the screenprinted ones and ship the white on demand. Figured I'd post one since it is our business. Take a look and let us know what you think. www.creepy-ts.com/PIRATEWEAR.html If the link doesn't work email me off list. The hooks will be coming soon.

Every once in awhile, whilst slav'in away fer Capn' Pike, workin' my inky fingers to the bone, someone comes in that wants something fun. Yesterday, he came in the form of a sailor wanting a "Polynesian-style Jolly Roger, but sorta gothy, tribal, ya know what I mean?" tattoo. So this is what I gave 'him...and he loved it. Some days, it IS worth chewing out of the restraints!

Hi there, my name is Sarah or Mary Sue Phonix (me pirate lass name). I went to the Kanasas City Ren Fest this year for me second time in a row and I had a lot of fun. But sadly I could not spend a lot of money or time on making a costume ahead of time since. I am planning on goin to two anime convention later this year, as well as a few family trips. lol so money is kind of short sometimes at my house. So I had to use somethings from my house and go dressed up as a Hobbit. And even though I really liked my costume and had lots of fun playing the act. I still couldn't help but feel slightly jelous when I saw other people with their had made outfits that looked so amazing…

The following might be of some use to someone who might be interested. My parents are trying to sell their timeshare in Williamsburg(They're selling the Deed to the timeshare.), and they asked me if I knew of anywhere that I could tell people about it. The timeshare is in Williamsburg during the month of August. It's a two unit timeshare (upstairs and downstairs) every other year, or it can be split so you have the upstairs one year and the downstairs the other. What I thought might be pertenant to this board is that the owner of the timeshare property can swap his/her week for another week(Which means it could be swapped for a week when the Blackbeard festival was goin…

I was shopping at a wood-working site I frequent - (well, it does no harm to look, right?) and found some nautical items of interest. The web site is http://www.leevalley.com and they have neat tools for woodworking and for gardening, and they have reprints of books, and other neat things. However the interesting naval ones are the following: 1. 2 wooden ship models (they are skeletonized, but look nice) to assemble. The set of 2 sells for $22.95 (yes, that is $22 dollars and 95 cents) - the Cutty Sark and the Santa Maria. I found them by searching for wooden ships. They are supposed to be intermediate level. 2. Books. They have quite a few naval books - I couldn't…
