Well now, seems that being in the right place at the right time can serve us well! I met a rather rougish and charming lad over last weeks end (at the Make A Wish Pumpkin sale really... ) who just so happens to be the lad that is sculpting the new POTC fugural dolls. Imagine that. He was having a wee bit of trouble getting the pictures he needed so I set him up with a few people and now his life is good! Heh heh.... talked about what figures they are making.... (a bit of eye rolling) I be willing to share I be!

Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett will lead a small Australian contingent down the red carpet at next month's Golden Globes ceremony after a number of high-profile candidates including Naomi Watts and Mel Gibson were snubbed. The nominations for the 62nd Annual Golden Globes ceremony - a reliable indicator for February's Academy Awards - were announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles this morning. Australia has four nominees - Kidman, Blanchett, Julian McMahon and Geoffrey Rush. Australians snubbed by the Golden Globes voters included Watts, Gibson, Anthony LaPaglia, Frances O'Connor and sc…

I'm jinxed, i know it for certain now, every actor, well almost every, i liked..they've died. I am sad to say Jimmie F. Skaggs who played mr Scully in Cutthroat Island died of cancer earlyer this year. http://www.keepmedia.com/ShowItemDetails.d...10030&oliID=226 I liked his character very much and tried to find more pics&general stuff about him but there's not much out there. Anyone who has/knows of good pictures of either Scully (portraits, not screencaptures) or Dawg Brown, please tell me, i am searching my butt off.

I really liked this one overall; research on privateering has educated me a bit over the years on 'a Franklin and Wall St.' relationship....Good plot, nice 'history', but......Somebody pull-eze explain to Mr. Bruckheimer 'afore he makes another flick that there are parameters to black powder, and he seems to like makin' it 'go off' after swimmin' in the ocean (Jack Sparrow), and in a ship's hold under the ice for 250 years fulla snow! (the Charlotte)..I kin hardly get it to fire hours later, still in the weapon, much less after a few centuries!...Other than that, a fine movie!

Didn't see another post about this game, so I figured I start one. It came out in August of this year. I saw this game over at Best buy and it looks fantastic. As where in Tropico your pirates for and do the dirty deeds for you, this game you actually can fire in your vessels upon other ships! Woot! Check it out, I put it on my Chirstmas list! :) Port Royal 2

Hey all, i found a dvd of a new version of Treasure Island macde in 2002. Does anyone know it? It has kevin Zegers and Jack Palance in it and i have to admit i like it more then the original, it's not so romatic and sweet... more realistic pirate action. I found it for only 5 euro and i think it was a good buy :)

The complete details came from DVDAnswers.com "Disney has announced plans to release a three-disc edition of Pirates Of The Caribbean this November. I'm afraid that details are still pretty sketchy on this one at the moment, although we can tell you that it will be made up of the standard two-disc set already on the market, along with a bonus disc containing eight new bonus features. The set will be available to own from the 2nd November this year, priced at around $29.99" Hmmmm, that's interesting.

This is an excert from an article about the new Sponge Bob Squarepants movie: "A group of old-time pirates sings the theme song in the film, and Avril Lavigne belts it out on the soundtrack CD. “It originated as a sea chanty,” Hillenburg said of the theme. “It’s supposed to be like a song sailors use, a working song to keep rhythm while they’re pulling up things.” I like the phrase "while pulling up things" It leaves alot to the imagination!

Now I'm not one to frequent Hot Topic (being as its stupid to be goth past a certain age... And I'm not one to collect Living Dead Dolls (seeing as they're quite gruesome and once you become a parent you'll understand)... But I found the Hot Topic exclusive Living Dead Doll Captain Bonney last night at the mall. She's about 8 inches tall. Has on 1 boot and her left leg has a peg. Her right hand is a hook. She has a scar across her right eye and underneath the eyepatch it looks quite gruesome. She's wearing black leather pants, a red velvety cap'ns coat, a headband, and she has red hair in dreads/braids. Her left hand is bedecked with rings and she has an earring i…

Ok.. been PATIENTLY waiting for some time now for PotC merchanise. However. what is the deal? either keeps getting moved back.. but worse.. the stores around where I live... say they will not carry the items! Why not?!? I just don't want to order online.. period! I would rather go out.. & buy the bloody item I want! Instead of pay $5 or more for shipping. Why is it SOOOO hard for PotC Merchandise to be released to the public!?!

I found a dvd at WalMart the other day called .... Long John Silver... with Robert Newton.. it has three episodes. .. The Necklace..... Miss Purty's Birthday and Sword of Vengeance..... It's from 1955. This is one I never heard of and don't remember seeing on any classic tv. It was all of one dollar, so I'll have to watch it real soon. If anyone is interested in this, just check out your local WalMart. If they don;t have it, give me a yell and I'll be happy to get you a copy.... The Capt.
