Well, Every weekend is a good weekend for pirates at Ren Fest... Here's the link for this year's themed weekends (Oct. 6th- Nov. 25th)http://www.texrenfest.com/themedweekends.html Do many Pub members attend? I've gone most weekends for the past few years...this year will be a bit different because i'm working offshore for 2 weeks at a time (just means I get 2 weeks OFF when I get back every time), so I'll be able to make 1/2 the faire. Do any of ye attend the Faire? MiLady and I are looking to meet new people, that is, any people who attend. We have been regulars for the last few years, but we still don't know anybody else who attends!! We may not make this weekend, but will be there next weekend for sure!!

Yes I know there's another much older thread, but since things have changed for many, I wanted to make a new one. The Age of Chilvary held in Las Vegas will be coming up very quickly. I have never been, but certianly plan on going less something sidelines me. The dates are Oct. 13-15th, 2006. Greetings One and All, Well, KCRF has ended and it was a fine run for the 30th anniversary. The troupe has a weekend off before we head to Arkansas for the First Annual North West Arkansas Renaissnace Festival at Fayetteville, Arkansas on October 28 & 29. The deliciously lovely waiting4mypirate brought to my attention the upcoming Kansas City Renaissance Festival, running weekends, Larbor Day, and Columbus Day, Sept. 2nd through Oct. 15th. Sounds like a festival that needs a-pyrating!

Even tho it was today and already over who all went today? Yup, I was there, but it was so damn hot! Went for a little bit in the morning. My cousin was working at his boss's booth giving massages. $1 per minute. I then came back later on when it was a little cooled down. It's like the summer, just too damn hot, ugh!

aye it be kind o late notice but there be pirate school this weekend Oct. 21 & 22 at Crossroads Park in Corona, CA.....there be classes in things piratical including a workshops n cannon firing, pirate history, language n me own class “Rum 101: chicken soup for the pirate soul”, its history, making and of course we be tasting some fine examples o grog in such.... here be a shortcut to info and schedule... ifn ye be docked in the area schlep on by....click: Pirate L.O.R.E. workshop Cheers mate!

Yours truely is starring as Long John Silver in a touring children's show based on Treasure Island. We go out to the elementary schools and put on a show for the kiddies. The magic thing about this show is that we get kids up on stage to be part of the ship's crew or to turn them into pirates! Well, the show is playing at the local college for all audience on two dates. Members of the Pirate Brethren will be lending a ghostly piratical hand this Friday and Saturday night at Darnell's Chance in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. From their website: While I have never done this event, I have seen pics and heard reports from the last few years and I must admit it sounds like a ripping good time. The house itself is very close to being period. In fact, I thought it was from the late 1690s, but their site says 1740s. Hi all, Well, Sea Sheppey was a great success the weekend before last with several of the UK's pirate crews all converging on sunny Sheppey for all sorts of capers and shenanigans. - despite the Royal Navy's attempts to put a stop to it We've got loads of photos and some of them are actually publishable. They'll be added to the Sheppey Pirates website in due course and then we'll let you all know when they're up and on the 'net.

Hi all, Well, the Sheppey Pirates - along with the Sea Wolfes and Black Flag - have just got back from Swansea, Wales after a succesful raid on the city last night. Over 2500 people, according to the local media, were right royally entertained with a pirate battle between 2 of the crews over ownership of a very nice sailing ship despite the force 8 gale and torrential rain that accompanied the night's events! Again, photos will be going up on the Sheppey Pirates website just as soon as we process them.

Hi all, Just to let you all know that the The Sheppey Pirates and The Sea Wolfes have been comissioned to conduct a raid on SA1 in Swansea, Wales, UK on the night of the 1st October 2006 to mark the opening of the new gateway to the redevelopment of SA1. More details will be added in the lead up to this little caper but, for now, we can tell you that it's a free event open to the public so you can get yourself along to see the pirate battle we intend to put on that night.
