  1. I've confirmed you can call and reserve tickets! Apparently they're going quite fast. To reserve tickets, call: (619) 644-7234 Today some crewmates and I went around the college campus dressed in pirate garb, promoting the play and passing out paper pirate hats with the info on them. Needless to say, it got the attention of quite a few students and teachers along with many uneasy nervous looks. Remember to dress up like a pirate for the event, and you'll have a chance to win some booty.
  2. I still be gettin' my garb together. But I've enough thus far. Unfortunetly I have like three pirate egos... I'm currently playing Long John Silver in a touring Elementary school show put on by my college. Unfortunetly the garb I use isn't mine and looks very costume-ish. But I did fork over the dough for me own antique crutch I use...and since I've got the character down, it's just a matter of clothing. This is Cap'n Fritters...a ghost character I played in my annual Halloween movie this year. He's basically a mix of my Long John...and a stereotype...but the costuming is what I have thus far for my main pirate ego, Langridge Larry. Larry's a cooky pirate...more of a clueless wack. If you want to see the details of my garb...you can watch a small clip from said movie here: Ghost Pirate Clip
  3. That would be helpful, wouldn't it? Actually I'm not sure if they are reserving tickets or not. I believe it's just five dollars at the door...cash or credit. But here's the theater's website for more info: http://www.grossmont.edu/theatrebrochur/default.asp and a handy phone number to call: (619) 644-7234
  4. Yours truely is starring as Long John Silver in a touring children's show based on Treasure Island. We go out to the elementary schools and put on a show for the kiddies. The magic thing about this show is that we get kids up on stage to be part of the ship's crew or to turn them into pirates! Well, the show is playing at the local college for all audience on two dates. And trust me...it's something your kids will love and there's enough tasteful humor targeted at adults to entertain yah. $5 to get in October 20 and 21 at 7:30 pm Matinee October 21 at 2 pm Grossmont College Stagehouse Theatre 8800 Grossmont College Dr El Cajon, CA 92020 US Ye can set sail with Captain Smollet or become a pirate with Long John...lots of fun. Put on your garb! It'd be great to meet some of you in person. The cast and I usually go out to Dennys afterwards and grab a bite to eat. You're welcome to come along! YAAR!
  5. My name isn't really Larry...but it sorta rhymes... Anyway, I'm new here. I'm getting into the whole pirate reinactment thing slowly...joining a local San Diego group...the HMS Stranglehold. I'm also going to be playing Long John Silver in an upcoming touring show for Treasure Island. So...it's pretty piratey for me right now.
