While this is NOT a pirate event, this is an event that pertains to the period, and I believe some of the participants planning to participate usually portray pirates and are just playing the role of "militia" for this event. But anyways, in Media PA on the weekend of April 4th and 5th, there will be a "what if" battle between the units of Maryland and the militia of Pennsylvania. I believe any military or militia (or civilian at arms) portrayal from 1680 to 1720 will be welcome. Forum where the event is being discussed I plan to attend in my Red Coat digs, as the Independant Company of Foote from Albany New York with anyone I can drag along with me. Anyone interested s…

grab a bottle. this might be fun. ok- lets say a maritime museum, on a body of water suitable for long boats, doreys, etc... (no big boats) offers you 3000 feet of real estate for a GAOP careening camp- to ultimately become a permanent town- with 200 feet frontage on the water. use of the facilities to include bathrooms, a kitchen, pavilion, and oh yeah an additional 10 acres to do events on offers you free use, just support yourself. only catch- little to no budget, small town with closest transportation (air, bus, rail) an hour away and must be GAOP period. I'm thinking a small port royal. any thoughts?

Ahoy you bloody lot. Hoist the Jolly Rogers to the top of the main mast to spread the word about the 4th Annual Baltimore Pirate Invasion and Privateer Day. This years Invasion will be Saturday the 19th of April 1808. It looks to be a full day of pillaging in the streets and a night of plundering to local public houses. Again this year just as in years past we be telling you scurvy Bilge Rats to leave your pistols and sword at home. NO WEAPONS! The rumors on the air at this time say there will be some tall ships in harbor for you to enjoy as well. There will be Vendors and some shanty singers singing in the square and a costume contest again this year so be sure to wear …
