When?

I believe it starts some time this week and runs through next weekend... I have a couple of friends that have tried to talk me into checking it out, but unfortaunately lack of vacation days, obligations next weekend, and lack of funds keep me away, yet for another year. B)

Have fun if you go!

Robbie meets lots of people, they are usually wearing long, white coats...

Relax Maddogge, have ye not yet noticed Dutchie's posts make about as much sense as Cousin Robbie's?

I have gone to Ft. Fred Market Fair for the past 4 or 5 years. When I park the Jeep I have to try not to run to the vendors like a lillte kid at a carnival. I'm sure I am not the only grown man trying not to look foolish making my way to the first sutler tent. If you haven't been there it is hard to discribe.

"A kid in a candy store" is BIG under statement. Be warned bring cash. A lot of the Sutlers are from out of town so more than likely your check will be out of state. Cash is good all the time. most of them don't have wirless credit card readers. Don't get your heart broken like some of us in the past to hear"sorry I don't take checks or credit cards"

I will be there Sunday tring to "stimulate the economy"

"No matter where you go. There you are."

Then there's the dude from Smiling Fox, who has his hand-held, GPS enabled, bluetooth, blu-ray playing credit card reader. The thing is amazing. It's kind of... odd... funny... disjointed... to see a guy in very snappy 18thC attire fiddling with a very 21stC electronic device.

I wasn't planning on going. But it's like a class reunion for me. All my old reenacting buddies will be there. So I may change my mind and hit it on Saturday.
