RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.... it has done nothing but rain here in st. louis..... for close to 3 months !! the back yard is almost a swamp.... i've been wanting to pour a concrete pad for weeks, but the rain and the swampy backyard for the concrete truck, has put that all on hold... this sucks !! there is a whole slew of projects i need to do in the back yard this summer and the rain is just not helping anything.. concrete pad, 12 x 16 shed, kids new playhouse, new deck, sidewalk, more trees, bushes, flowers.... all on hold

Hester Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Glorious! -- sunny and low 20s C. (about 70 F.) I'd love to open a window, but the oak trees haven't finished blooming yet, and I'd rather not have my sinuses swell up again.
Hester Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 A tad damp. Light rain showers, perfect for nurturing the grass seed that I spread last weekend!

blackjohn Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Three really nasty storm fronts moved through Maryland on Tuesday. I'm still without power. They are talking ~100° temps for the weekend. My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
Cpt Sophia M Eisley Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 John - I was on the phone with coworkers on Wednesday who are up in your area (Gaithersburg, Rockville). The Gaithersburg lot unfortunately had a fire drill and had to vacate the call and building in the pouring rain. My boss was up in Rockville talking from an office on emergency power, and had his laptop sitting next to a little desk lamp in his darkened room. I hope for you that your electricity comes back up, and soon! Dunno how today's going to be here. I assume hot again (mid 90's). I'm praying for rain for the afternoon, regardless of where I'll be (StarWars Weekends - Disney Hollywood Studios). Perhaps we'll meet again under better circumstances. ---(---(@ Dead Men...Tell No Tales. Welcome, Foolish Mortals...

Red Cat Jenny Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 The weather bureau failed to read the memo stating I was off this week I specifically requested 81 , painfully dry and sunny with a good Southerly breeze. Hester Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 We've got the same sticky weather system on this side of the Great Lakes, Jenny. That's why I'm escaping today up to the northern beach shack for the next few weeks. Always slightly cooler there than in the city.
Cheeky Actress Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 It's been a mix of rain showers and sun today. It is frustrating because I really need to clean up my yard of all the dead limbs and leaves from the storm we had Thursday afternoon. Member of "The Forsaken"
