Hot, muggy and smokey. So much smoke from the Northern Calif. fires is blowing into So. Oregon, that Grants Pass looks like a stage 5 smog alert day in LA. B)

SEND SOME OF THAT RAIN OVER HERE!!!!!!

In So. Or. it's been bone dry and HOT.

Yesterday, at nine o'clock at night, it was still 105. High on our covered front deck was 108. By the time we went to bed last night, around 11:00, it was still 100. This morning, by 8:30 it was already 85. Going to be another scorcher today — at least as high as yesterdays 108.

AND WE DON'T HAVE AC IN OUR HOUSE! AHHHHHHH!!!! by around 3:30 our poor place was about 85-90 inside. Gah!

Chain Shot will be home by 11:00 this morning, and we are heading for the movies, where they have really good air conditioning. Actually, we may stay for a double feature.

I could send some your way. I have 5" of rain in the back yard. It's a balmy 80 degrees here, 65 mph winds (thanks Fay) and 5 to 15" of ran expected. Typical tropical storm fun.

Here's the back 40 near the Pirate HQ the barrel mark the spot...

Me after a rousing Singin' in the Rain number for video (sorry, didn't upload that one).

A shot of the rivers that drain my yard so nicely into the back acre that dad-in-law owns.

We've had 21" in the last 24 hours and another 10" is expected over the next 24. Fun! Fun!

I was just outside the front of the house watching a catfish walk by my driveway and I'm no where near a river. Now I've seen everything!

It sounds like the river decided to make the trip and visit you. Is your house in any danger of flooding?

Well, tomorrow is October 1st....which I like the call the first TRUE day of Fall. There is something about the warm days and purple pink skies of a fall evening that truly makes me long for my New England homeland.

Tonight, a cool 46 degrees and tomorrow...Sunny and cool about 68.

It's been so horribly hot! It's gone as high as 100, ugh! It just feels like being in an oven when going outside. But now today, it's cooling off and by tomorrow it's even supposed to rain. Crazy California weather, lol!

It's 82 and sunny here in Port Royal. Going to Up All Night tonight in town and eat Jerk Chicken with the locals.

Well, as predicted, it rained last night. Just so weird! It was so hot all last week, even got as high as a little over 100 on a couple of the days and now it's cold, gloomy and rainy, lol! Gotta love that nutty California weather, lol!
