Crowsnest Kate
Well, yesterday we got about 8" of snow here and it is still coming down beautifully today off and on. I may take the dog for a walk later on. I love walking in the snow! Once again the plows did a wonderful job of clearing the roads. Salters were out last night and my car got pelted by it as I past the truck and it was blowing and my windshield wipers got all icy but I had a reasonably good drive from Batavia Il to Cedarburg WI. Took me 3 1/2 hours instead of 2 1/2 hours but you have to drive slower when it is snowy and a bit slippery. The wind blew snow across the roads at times making visability a bit dodgy but all in all it was not as bad as they said it would be where I was driving. Silkie McDonough
...up to the 80's this weekend, with clounds and a little breeze. Tomorrow's supposed to be warm, with an afternoon t-storm. :) Well, now the debate. Do I: 1.) Resent Sophia because she is rubbing in the fact that she is surrounded by warm temps. or 2.) Declare her my best friend and that i shall be visiting soon! :)

Red-Handed Jill
It's supposed to warm up a bit this weekend, Patrick. There's black ice to the south of us and some snow at the higher elevations. And rock and mudslides in the Telegraph Hill area of San Francisco. We get rock and/or mudslides just about every winter in the SF area - very hilly, ya know.

Matusalem
Patrick....That is beautiful, in a 'Cold Mountain' sort of way. As fro me , I am in northern NJ, trying to assemble a 20x10 ft car tent so I can fix up my 1957 Ford and sell it, and maybe buy a sailboat. A mere wee window of nice sunny 50 F weather to put it up before the next ice storm. I have no garage.

I thought March was supposed to be part of Spring! Expecting a thaw by the weekend, but rain coming with it. Cheers, Hester
