Oooh, so juicey and tender. damn good! Roasted corn along side it. Mmmm... Tomorrow night. More of the pork. Not sure if I should have cauliflower and cheese or a sweet potatoe (roasted in the oven of course)... or baked beans (Bush's baked beans! Hello, best beans out there!). Time to go grocery shopping to get more meat. And veggies and milk and cheese. Aye, I'm a basic person with food. Wait til ye see me cook at events! Raphael Misson
All of a sudden, I have a desire for that odd tang of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup. You know? Maybe I'll make something with that tonight. (Although I have a garden full of tomatoes I must find a use for soon. Somehow C of M soup and tomatoes do not seem quite the right combination...) “We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. LadyBarbossa
soup and salad? ::Shrugs::: LOVE that Cream of Mushroom on mashed potatoes. It makes a WONDERFUL gravy. as to tomatoes... ::Shrugs::: good question. Lots to do with it but it is rather time consuming (salsa, stewed and canned tomatoes, juice, spagetti sauce, etc) ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Red Cat Jenny
well I finished a bottle of wine and made my favorite veggie stew. The secret ingredient in the stew goes nicely with a fairly dry merlot. Tomorrow Im coking pot roast for the family..mm parsnips and carrots on a cold, blustery day. Capn Bob
I made that Caribbean Chili...not bad. The peach salsa gives it a hint of sweetness and a bit of bite, altho less than, say, Hungarian sausage. I didn't have it highly seasoned...I don't see the point of Warp 10 chili. I prefer to keep me tongue *unscarred*...I have better uses fer it. But I have to wonder...if it be Caribbean Chili...how would a spot of (dark) rum do in it? Any thoughts on this? Side note on rum: Ever since I first heard about rum, way back when I was *thiiis* high...I've always had in mind a dark liquid. So, of course, in any of my upcoming caribbean cooking, I'll be using dark rum. And altho I don't drink, as a rule, *some* of it is likely to find its way into "containers" other than pots. Damn, thats sharp!
