^ Yep - on a few occasions.

< When I was in high school, a group of us were in an English Lit class and we were reading a rather boring book. One of my classmates suddenly gasped and jerked upright. When asked what was wrong, she wailed, "NIGHTMARE!" Way to cover your tracks there...

V Ever arrive somewhere (walking, driving, biking) and you couldn't remember how you got there?

^ No I can usually figure out *how* I got there, it's the why that sometimes escapes me.

< The rule is, don't get me chatting when I'm driving anywhere near my home town. More often than not I end up on auto pilot and you never know where that means we'll end up.

V do you have an auto pilot?

^ not really forget where I was going, just not paying attention and end up at some place I habitually drive, like work, church or a certain store, instead of the place I meant to go

^ Me? Politically correct? No.

> Well, kind of. I don't use racial slurs in conversation, if that's what you mean. My co-workers do, particularly in regard to Hispanic people, and it bugs me. So maybe I am. I get sick of macho posturing and sexual invective on the job, and actually prefer to work around women. So maybe.

V Who has been your OLDEST co-worker?

^ Not really an illness - epic-sized kidney stones a few years back. As in both kidneys, they got stuck and I needed surgery.

< I'm a total wimp when it comes to anticipating pain, but have an extremely high pain tolerance.

^ A brigantine. (You did say "any.") Okay, no: a cutlass.

< A better waistcoat would be a good idea, too. One that actually meets in the middle. (Object lesson: Don't drink and sew.)

V Can you do your own tailoring?

< Gotta start slimming myself into that Regency ball gown for the beginning of June! Guess I better ration the rum more sparingly.

V Would you rather give up chocolate or rum?

^ I'm not a big chocolate fan, and I don't drink a ton of rum, so I could give up either. Although I'd miss the rum first.

< Still trying to get my garb togethr for PW. Almost there. Maybe two more days of sewing left and coat and breeches will be done.
