blackjohn
One more, when I was briefly doing WWII with the 15th (Scottish) Recce Most of my real costuming pics are photos, and since I don't have a scanner, you won't get to see me in a blue shirt with Vulcan ears!!! Fox
Most of my real costuming pics are photos, and since I don't have a scanner, you won't get to see me in a blue shirt with Vulcan ears!!! We'll just imagine it instead... I know what you mean about history in England, I have a lot of difficulty restricting myself. I've now got half-decent kit for most periods between about 150BC and 1945, but I hardly ever use it except for the odd event. Take my 1066 gear: helmet, seax, daneaxe, shield, spear, tunic decorated with hand made inkle braid, hand made shoes... and I last used it in 2000 for...the Battle of Hastings! My trouble is that someone says "Hey Ed, there's a great event coming up at..." and I'm too weak to resist! Christine
Eh, I made up this Costume thread anyway. If it goes off topic, it goes off topic. I don't really care one way or another. But for now on, I'm ignoring trolls, it's pointless.
blackjohn
Eh... but I hate to see a fine thread get abandoned... and with thousands (hundreds? tens?) of people on this forum, some others must have some decent costume pics!!! Here's another of me, not decent at all! The Battle of Clontarf, 1014. I'm in the very back, in the middle. blackjohn
Oh, it was a very good death too. A guy in full mail charged me, knocking me down with his shield.
