Capt. Sterling
Hmmm good question, I'm currently reading a study on just that regarding Inns, post houses, etc... I will make you a copy and bring it to Blackbeards "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/

Cheeky Actress
Sorry for 'running' away with this thread - but here you go Silkie! Here is a picture of a late 17th century Coffeehouse with 'Mistress' at the bar. Take a look at her attire. Note her dress. I am sure that you could very well carry such a look. LadyBarbossa
Ooooo... gives us much hope! Thank ye. :) Aye, Matt... I think hands down, Cheeky should be tossed into that Pirate Sirens contest! She'd make a fantastic "Siren" or Hot Pirate Babe in that look, aye? ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." Capt. Sterling
Do you have a larger image? Nice pic but hard to see "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... Cheeky Actress
I'm actually standing in front of the computer giving you a standing ovation!Bravo! Thank you dearly BlackJohn! I was really trying to make sure that my Lilly was much better looking than my indentured black-toothed servant, Bess... Maybe the kids won't run away from Lilly as much as they do when Goodie (sic) Hagardy is around. It must be the blackened teeth and showing them that she was branded in the hand! What Pirate Sirens contest, Matt? This is the first I've ever heard of it. Does your publication do this every year? Dutchman
silkie, thanks for fixing it. i'm clueless. well if folks want a bigger picture they will just have to come to hampton and take one- so there the better pictures are when i'm on one of the boats- otherwise i always have a stupid grin or i'm cought in the middle of blinking. the Royaliste
I've discovered that even tho' I've a zillion photos in costume, none are posted anywhere. The few times I've went to Photobucket, there's been spyware tryin' to attach itself, so..the only one I have, and it's just a hot day on the seaway..... ROYALISTE Shipshape; Armed and Dangerous..... Dutchman
hey how bout a pub shoot at the blackbeard festival. by my count atleast a dozen and a half of us will be there. i think the best time would be between the dinner and fireworks on saturday. still a bit of light, but a decent flash would not hurt. if that does not work how bout sunday morning- although it might be a rough crowd. Silkie McDonough
I would be glad to take the shop but perhaps you should ask someone with a better camera. I have a cheap Kodak. I know Callenish has a Canon EOS. He may be able to take a better shot than I can.

Dutchman
now silkie, how can you be in a group shot if you're behind the lense. and gary, with your permission, the easiest way to kill two birds with one stone is to use the royaliste as the background for a group shot from the bulkhead or floating pier. that way you will not miss out. i think i can talk grace into taking a few pictures for us.
