Rogue Mermaid Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I rather enjoy the comments of the non-single posters in this thread so I'm not complaining. If there is one thing we all have in common it is that everyone here has been single at one time in their life, so everyone has some knowledge on the topic! why so sad skot?
BLACK SKOT Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I rather enjoy the comments of the non-single posters in this thread so I'm not complaining. Rogue Mermaid Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 The house gets lonely at times and most of my friends live far away.... Give those friends of your's a call! Mine live all over the place and my last heart break rang up one hell of a phone bill. You know what though? It was worth every penny. Good friends are a truely priceless part of the healing process. Here's an interesting thought. Why do we do it? How is it that we have our hearts thrown to the ground and trampled all over and yet jump back up and look for love all over again? Biologically it only makes sense so far (procreation, ect...). Love is a completely complex and insane state of affairs. Actually I know the answer to my own question. I'm just pondering out loud. I don't know about love conquering all, but it certainly makes the day alittle brighter.
BLACK SKOT Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Ahhh.....LOVE. Yes.... We all want it. We all need it in one way or another. Some more than others. Some abuse it and use it as a game. Some are true to their words and feelings. Some start out being true, and then slip into the game playing mode which hurts the other party involved. Myself.....I keep getting stuck as "the other party". I could be one of the last real true lovers left in the world that puts my whole heart and soul into a relationship. Then again...maybe not. * I hear many people thinking to them selves right now* Yes.....I am a romantic. SO WHAT! BLACK SKOT ---(BLACKIE) "Quarter" Master Pyrates of the Coast "Permit me aboard and I'll be takin' over yer ship... Don't permit me aboard and I'll still take over yer ship"
Rogue Mermaid Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Nothing wrong with being a romantic as long as your smart about it. Now, myself I am a romantic and I am a irrational moron about it. Now that would be a hell of a personal ad: Irrationally Moronic Romantic seeks same.
PyratePhil Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Myself.....I keep getting stuck as "the other party".I could be one of the last real true lovers left in the world that puts my whole heart and soul into a relationship. Tudor MercWench Smith Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 I tend to be neither a hopeful or a tragic romantic. Oh, no . .. following in suit with my sczophrenia I am a cynical romantic . . . go figure, I'm a walking oxymoron.
PyratePhil Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 . .. following in suit with my sczophrenia I am a cynical romantic . . . Ah, M'Lady, fear ye not...ye be in goode company...with the likes of Cynical de Bergerac and such... ...and I, due to me very nature, be an obsessive/compulsive romantic... an obsessive/compulsive romantic... an obsessive/compulsive romantic... ...Qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum... ~ Vegetius
Tudor MercWench Smith Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 LOL! Glad to know that I'm not the only nutso person out there! I guess there is something horribly . . . well, romantic for lack of a better term, in seeing all the shitty sides of love, and wanting it anyway. Maybe it's not sczophrenia, but masochism - that or stupidity. Ah well, here's to love in all it's painful glory!
PyratePhil Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Glad to know that I'm not the only nutso person out there! ... Maybe it's not sczophrenia, but masochism - that or stupidity. Ah well, here's to love in all it's painful glory! Thou art among nutsos many...just look ye upon this board Or, as Willie Shakespeare would have it... El Pirata Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Crikey, I leave for week and we get 3 pages of posts. Is that a hint???? I wonder.... Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.

Rogue Mermaid Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 EP's back!Quick - stop posting!!! I love that bumper sticker that says, "Jesus is coming, look busy". I don't know why that reminded me of that. Hee hee hee I didn't find anyone on New Years Eve but I was pushed towards a few different guys. My buddies are so subtile...."So did you know so and so likes painting? Just like you?", "Did you know that so and so has a fish tank?! You have a fish tank!", "Hey you're playing beer pong...why don't you take her as your partner..she likes beer pong". It was pretty funny.
PyratePhil Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 "Did you know that so and so has a fish tank?! You have a fish tank!" Oh, that's ALWAYS a prerequisite for everlasting love! "One fish, two fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, Two things of my dream man I wish: He's not married, and he don't swish" ...Qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum... ~ Vegetius
