  1. Well look at it this way: if you're in Key West and you're unemployed.... Hey, you're in Key West. I will miss ya, mate.
  2. Many kinds of fate have befallen me, my friend. And yet, I live to tell the tale. I look forward to seeing ye at the festival. We must sit and swap tales o'er a bottle of rum. And Patrick, we must once again wander Duval Street in search of misadventure.
  3. Ahoy me hearties! Through an entirely unforeseeable series of circumstances which have nothing whatsoever to do with me, I'll be joining all you rum-soaked brigands at PiP this year. I’ll be sailing the Emerald Ox down a couple days early, turning this excursion into an artistic reconnaissance mission. I look forward to seeing all of you there. In the meantime, check out my pirate art blog: http://nigelzart.blogspot.com/ Nigel
  4. My all-time favorite has got to go to the infamous Rhonda the Red from Red Dragon at CORF [in response to an etremely intoxicated man's description of what he wanted to do to/with/at her]: "Like you have THAT kind of cash." I still laugh when I think of that one.
  5. Do you ever get the feeling of Deja Vu?
  6. Joking? To the contrary, my good sir... One year for Hallowe'en, I wore a white robe and sandals, cut the center out of a Boboli Pizza crust, placed it atop my head, and brought three 16-penny nails. I went as "Cheesus Crust". I entered the party, threw the nails on the bar and said "Can you put me up for the night?"
  7. Arrgh, CG, great pics! Th' hawks were absolutely beautiful creatures. I had the distinct privilege and pleasure t' help exercise Tess. She is an awesome bird. I must say, there is nothing that can describe the feeling when she took off flying directly towards me! I was just glad I was wearing the glove...What an awesome experience. And what a great photo of Cascabel, he be a pirate's pirate! Any more photos, perchance?
  8. Arrgh, Petee- I usedta work the Colorady Ren Fair(e) back in tha day, but 'twas a long time ago, and so much beer - er, water - has passed under(e) me bridge, if'n ye knows what I mean... Ye might asks the Dread Pirate Lavender, I believes he still werks this particular(e) fair(e) Here be a couple recommendations, if'n they still be around: Ded Bob - 'e be the best. If'n ye never(e) seen Puke and Snot, ye should give 'em a go. Those who have seen them a hundred times may be tired o' them, but they has their(e) act down good. I have heard talk that Don Juan and Miguel 'ave been sighted out and about, not sure whether(e) they be in Larkspur this year, but if so, they be one o' the best comedy sword teams I e'er saw (I know, I know, back in th' day....) Zilch the storyteller(e) was a good man and a great storyteller (bitd) And of course, I have heard rumours that Red Dragon games has unfurled their(e) banner(e) yet again. If so, give Chuckeee a big ol' hug and a kiss, and don't even tell him who it's from...bwa ha ha ha!!!! Gives us a report, mate. I be curious to hear(e) what's good, what's new, and whatever(e) impressions ye have o' the fair(e). Ahhh...mem'ries o' th' "Pagan Passion Pit".... Best- Ni(gel)
  9. Ooooh... drool, slaver. I particularly love the Remington revolvers, the French Naval flintlock, and the "Gentleman's flintlock" pistol. ...Drewwwl... I have my eye on a particular flintlock replica. I wonder... is an ivory-handled flintlock even close to 'period' for a pirate? Who cares... it's a cool piece.
  10. Hey Christine, I would love to be there, but alas, I have things to attend to. Mayhaps next year I will see ye there. Give us a full report, will ye?
  11. When were you at the Colorado Ren Faire?
  12. Oh blast. We'll miss ye. Mayhaps we'll aim a little to the left next time.
  13. Indeed, let us know and we shall provide ye with a proper pyratey Portlando welcome.
  14. Does anyone here ever get the feeling of Deja Vu?
  15. Ah yes, "Frosty Bodices". Sounds like a band name, or the name of a band of cartoon characters. l ol Bite me, Merry. Any time ye like.
