  1. Ahhhhhhh.....so you met the wee little guy. Very cordial...can drink ye right under the table, too. Zephyr....seen "Finding Nemo" yet?
  2. Simple....it's boat envy. Now if the Royaliste has to get "prior clearance", I must admit...I'm having quite the amusing time thinking of the phone call to the CG. "Hi, yes, this is Capt. Gary of the Royaliste.....oh, yes Sir, that was us, but the other ship must have misunderstood our intentions..no, no, we weren't trying to board her.....ok, anyway, I'm just calling to let you know that later this week there'll be a pyrate party on board, and we plan on using the cannons.....no sir, I said PRIVATE party (whew....little sweat)....yes, we plan on only using half charges (NOT!)....yes, yes....ok...great...guess we'll see your boys out there as well....by the way, how did those pictures turn out?.....oh really...full moon, you say...well, the one in the middle was mine"
  3. Alriiiiiiiiiiiiiight...he's forgiven, and I take back every little nasty little thing I was thinking....well, almost. You don't go AWOL with Uncle Sam. But, I'm hoping you still plan on going. I think us West Coasters are living a little vicariously through you and this road trip....no pressure...really...honest.
  4. For lack of a better choice of words, I'd be.."What the f@ck? What do you mean you can't go?".....your friend is NOT pirate material. Well, ask ye self this........."Am I going to regret not going?"......clears up some?
  5. geez...i think one post is enough..but we'll look anyway good to see someone else is having a computer hiccup of a day, also. Li'l....don't be afraid to visit a fabric shop or two if ye be handy with a needle, or know someone who is.
  6. Ooooooooh....I've got to stop looking at the things you guys post in here for sale. First that bed Quill found on Ebay, next the SCA boots El Pirata linked for us, and now this. I'm going to be forever broke, I'm sure of it!
  7. Laundry Service is half and half. It's great when you're in the mood to just move. And maybe a little tango, too.

  13. I am honored to share such a forum with those who have, and still do, serve this country. I truly was awakened from my naive look of the world when I was a freshman in college. Though you might think college breeds liberal minded individuals, I, never being one to be part of a flock, spent much of my time down at The Wall. There I met a woman who would change my life forever, and how I look at it. Her name was JoAnn Sullivan, she was a freelance journalist and photographer. Through her, I volunteered and learned from Vets and those who visited, what war truly was, what it meant to serve and love this country. I was blessed to even meet a Gold Star mother, who had come to visit her son's name on The Wall, and more flattered, when she asked me to the rubbing. It was, also, during this time, I learned, my cousin was M.I.A. from Vietnam. His C-130 went down, Dec. 29, 1967, before I was born, and being 3000 miles away from family, it wasn't brought up until then. I was lucky enough to find his bracelet, and I wore it for years. Even to this day, he still travels with me when I go out on assignments for my work. JoAnn and I lost touch over the years, and my best friend, who I was dating at the time, joined the Air Force. He and I still talk, simply because, I was the only one he knew growning up, who understood why he choose that life. Oh, and if you are wondering, Col. Donald E. Fisher was returned to us a few years ago. I love you cousin, and thank you for your duty and sacrifice. darkRose...your warm words filled the heart with remembering, and gratitude....thank you. Black Jack, El Pirata, and my good friend Scupper.....is thank you even enough?
  14. *nudges the rock with the toe of her boot* Ok..I'm totally jealous. Havin' flash backs to driving straight from N. Va (Sterling), to Jacksonville in 12 hours, on our way to Spring Break, a little to far back in my mind. When you get to Keys, have some conch fritters for me. Have a great time, you scurvy dogs. Music suggestions: Sonic Temple-The Cult, Anything by SRV, Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas, Fleetwood Mac - The Dance, since everything is on it, Santana-Supernatural, and Saliva-Every 6 Seconds. But, then again...that's just me. Happy driving! OH, if you got a sec...would love to see a pic of the good ole tourist trap "South of the Border", which I think is in Dillon, SC (don't forget your fireworks ).
  15. LOL...I won't post it....let some other's have a gander at it.
  16. Well...that's because ye should be usin' yer dirk!
  17. Alrighty....hang-nail....open-heart surgery....sounds like some sort of painkiller. Perhaps something in a slight greenish color?
  18. A common malady know as "paycheckus disappearus".
  19. It's a long story....and quite colorful at that. But, he promised to always buy the rounds...so, who's to argue with the little guy. Actually...it be a quote from a movie. Right before..."I'm a natural blue."
  20. OH....it be a riddle...well, now that the game is on.....i'll get to ye. Course, I'd like to think it be M for Morgan, as in Captain....but knowing ye...it might be Midol.
  21. Sounds like some general purpose, super industrial strength stuff! Guess if it didn't kill ya...they kept ya around a few more years.
  22. *raises her full tankard to Black Jack's prayer* Hear, Hear mate. Best of the day to each and every one of ye's that's prowls these waters. May the wind fill your sails, and bring you safe journeys.
  23. *blinks and yawns* Wow...who needs coffee with threads like this to wake you up.
