Hmmmm maybe I need more buttons, like Maddogge. I have a vague memory but I think I heard mention about Maddogge needing help holding his breeches up at least once, something about almost pant'sing himself out on the field. I don't think I'd be following Maddogges example where buttons are concerned, sir, if said pantsing was to happen mid battle it would be far too unfair to the other gents standing on the firing line.

Oh he's well versed in "Yes Dear!" , but he tries none the less. Chrispy isn't exactly one to admit he's lost. He will claim deaf and blind though. aaaaaahh... marriage..... the blind leading the blind

HARRY!!! you inspired me to post it here: Now what everyone knows the story...next year I'll be sure to sing it at the closing ceremonies as well. OL ZACH'S TAVERN by Rusty Nell Riley Raise a toast to Ol Zach's Tavern Tap another cask of rum We'll drink our fill and have our thrills until the morning comes Here's a bottle for each Judy For the lad's down on the pier A toast to Ol Zach's tavern Cause we're bloody glad you're here. You can hear the cannon's thunder they echo through these halls the one's who've come before us gone where lighter duties call To those who stood for freedom We salute you far and near Raise a toast to Ol Zach's tavern Cause we're bloody glad you're here. Here's to Jeremiah Crowley a soldier tried and true IJ Day-O, the brothers Trow, and Wendell Gardiner too. To the O'sceolla Battery and don't forget A'Dair Raise a toast to Ol Zach's Tavern we salute you everywhere!! I love the spirit of that Fort and am so glad they welcome us with open arms year after year. Braze needs to post his ghost photo here so everyone can see how much they love the tavern as well.

Exactly, no time like the present... Did you know research shows that we actually modify every memory we have when we recall it? Your memory works so that it just stores certain high points. When you recall things, you fill in the missing spots based on what is happening or has happened within the last day. It has been repeatedly shown that these filled-in parts are completely indiscernible from what actually happened to the person recalling the memory. And we all know that it's this kind of filling in that leads to all kinds of disasters like female dinosaurs switching sex and breeding. Memory finds a way. So, this explains why, in my husbands memory, it's always me who moved some thing that he can't currently locate. He's aware he's lost it, and recalls my having moved things, a high point, being that he doesn't have to clean up the clutter himself..... 2+2 = her fault ....as for female dinosaurs switching sex and breeding well...enough said!

That's a horrible tease your link didn't work --booohooo!

Greek as well? I must have been pulling one over on you love... I'm Half French Canadian (who barely speaks French) and Half Scottish-Canadian... No greek in this bod... Maybe a Geek, but no Greek. Or are you taking "Souris" to be Greek? It's a French word... Look it up, it makes me all the more funny. souris (f) n. mouse, small rodent with a long tail and a pointy face with little round ears; hand-size input device with buttons that when moved across a surface causes the cursor on the screen to move in the same direction LOL!! Thats fantasitic ... good thing Kate's name isn't Wilhelmina...Ok got it, my assumption was wrong, Souris looked like a Greek name. Your in good company with us Monsieur Mickey Mouse......LOL Its Ok our crew is full of mice... Spike and Nigel are both rodents......or should I say Rat's (chinese zodiac) but just don't tell Spike your full name or he'll break out into song.. S..C..U..........R....V...Y..... M.O.U.S.E he has a whole repertoire of "pirated" Disney tunes

Brig, Such a great account of Wendell's shenanigans. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh wow that's incredible, ok all that detail is insane. The pearls and beads...
-
Canadians.....sexy?..... ok I've known a few so I'll agree....and your Greek as well... No?? thats a browny point in my book......but Dear Mickey ......You have an ACCENT??? How come I didn't notice an accent?.....Oh wait .. oh yeah.... as usual I was doing most of the talking ....sorry - female malady....I'll listen more attentively next time... not that i can hear that well after all the cannon fire anyway.. Anyway...my accent is totally wrong! I was told by a Brit in the know - that I'm far too posh - Rusty posh !!! LOL --- i think i'll leave it like it is for that very reason, there's little thats posh about her...I must admit though I'm not good at it I do love accents though. Silkies Irish is grand... but honestly what gets me every time regardless the colloquial dialoguing its...humor! -- yep ...humor....specially the smart kind!

I really think you'd need the stuff behind glass, not rope. I agree ~ under glass. Especially in the case of rain. If I may be so bold ~ did anyone else present beside myself work the Shipwreck Ball Silent Auction at PiP 2007? From my personal experience, I would not have another Silent Auction unless it were guaranteed in stone that completion and distribution would happen at X time, as advertised. The Island Style timing of events clashed with the completion of the Silent Auction, resulting in several irritable and impatient bidders hurling verbal abuse at myself for an hour, accusing myself of mismanagement and more, as representative of the auction. Wow I had no idea- that auction went so poorly - sorry to hear about that. If we schedule the silent auction to close at an exact time say 7:00 pm on Saturday night, and stick with that, that might help some. Lets say the winners have to present themselves at the booth between the hours of say 10am - 5pm on Sunday to pick up their winnings. Make sure we stipulate if they have not claimed their auction item before 5pm on Sunday the item will go into live bidding with the other live auction items on Sunday evening. We should do the liove auction early - around 5:00pm - sometime after that last battle - before dinner. I think a locked display case for the smaller items is a great idea, but i agree with Jim someone sitting at the booth would better serve to increase interest. We'd have to cover a good 24 hours worth of booth time though, that may be our biggest problem, everyones so busy...still... I'd be more than willing to give you a couple of hours - good reason to save my feet.
