  1. It's been getting good reviews here, so I'll probably go see it.
  2. WELCOME BACK TO PORT MY FRIEND!
  3. I am so sorry you have lost an important part of your life. The Spirit never dies, it just gets reborn into a new form.
  4. Whoooo-hooooo! My tickets (2) are bought and I've made reservations at the hotel (in case my stepmom doesn't come through with a time-share there) so watch all, because I'm coming to New Orleans next year!
  5. Welcome to the Pub! Keep your arms and legs about you and just hand over the booty for safekeeping ....well you didn't expect it back did you?
  6. Many people here on the west coast have witnessed it. I haven't ever and sometimes some of the news stations have actually tried to get it on film for the viewing audience, but so far it hasn't happened.
  7. Personally I think Global warming is a natural thing for the most part. You can't put stoppers in volcanoes, and other nations/countries don't have the modern conviences we have so their regulations are practically non-existant. Regulating the USA is one thing, but we can't regulate what goes on outside the USA and I seriously doubt the USA is the most polluting country around. **Just a side note here: Here in S. California the cry for more water is common place...we have a whole friggin' ocean that we can use, just desalinate the water....but instead the polictians and people just don't see it and instead continue to grab from the Colorado river as if it were a never-ending river of life. Sadly even with the drought years many have endured, the water levels in rivers and lakes is way down. If anyone can come up with a better solution than desalinating water, I'd sure like to know it.
  8. Went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park yesterday (about ten minutes or less from my home) with some friends. While I enjoyed riding around on my scooter, I was highly disappointed that many things had changed and in my opinion not for the better....actually saw very little when it came to animals. Geeze the San Diego Zoo has more! Never got to go on the 'new' tram through the 'wild Africa' stuff, the line was hideously long and when it's 90 degrees out, waiting in line was not going to happen. Starting to look at mobile homes/manufactured homes in the prospect of us having to move to a bigger place. Can't afford a house here, so the latter is the best we can do. We just want to find a place that's bigger than our 1 bedroom apartment where we can settle down to a hopefully quiet life for our 'senior' years. Gawd, me a senior citizen....that's really scary!
  9. Calm down Jack, everyone is entitled to their opinions whether you like it or not.
  10. I was truly worried Mad Jack that you might have been on that bridge. Glad to know you weren't near it. I swear it looks like an earthquake did it! It actually made me wonder if there had been a quake there, but I guess not. Similar happened up in the Oakland/San Francisco area a couple of years back.
  11. I gotta say Ron is a dead ringer for Johnny Depp.
  12. Aye, I totally understand mate, and I wish you well in getting over those 'humps' of life and when you're ready to sail back into port, we'll be here waiting with mugs of ale to warm your heart upon your return. Blessed be, Rumba
