  1. In hiding for TWO YEARS? Good grief man what were you accused of? Flipping mugs in the air still full? Eating live rats? Frolicking with the frogs in pond naked? Or did the elves finally give up feeding you? In any case welcome to Pub, now cough up the coin for our drinks!
  2. Welcome to the Pub! Hope you'll like this port in the cyberspace sea. I checked out your website, love the 'shadowed' hook that moves around with the cursor.
  3. Bound to be something going on Friday evening, but mostly it's set up of camp. Course since most camps will already be in place from the previous week, there shouldn't be a whole lot to do. But nothing is stopping you from coming in on Friday, but not sure how late the gate will be open. Boats and I are sleeping in our minivan, we'll be parked in the lot sort of near the front gate.
  4. I'm afraid poor Boats is too heavy to be laying in one attached to such lightweight (they may not be, but you haven't seen my other half ) poles and would certainly break them.
  5. Course the real trick where to put it to use it.... as Boats has found out after making his years ago and no where to use it....no trees in the right places, nothing strong enough to hold it up with a person in it...all in all I think he realized he made it for nothing.....
  6. Hmmmm......has this taken the place of finger flipping?
  7. Breathing is very important to me..... I don't like wearing really tight bodices....years ago when wearing one very tight and dancing around like a jester, I actually fractured two ribs! Plus I have the problem of one hip being higher than the other, and my back isn't flat like most people's. So when I make bodices for myself it's not an easy thing to do.
  8. Pirates of Treasure Cove have been invited to join the festivities, so our camp will also be there. Look for us!
  9. Mission you look great! Now ye get pressed ganged!
  10. Patrick, I've been in the very same situation. Way back when I had a horse we use to have Halloween dress up contests for the horse and rider at the stable I boarded at. I went to great lengths to make some great things only to be discarded for some kid who did hardly anything....then I was told I was too good and that the kids really should win.....I was really upset.....
  11. Last year when I bought some of those Chinese 'Mary Jane' (for other types of events) shoes their sizes where much different. Good thing I could try them on first, ended up with a size 40, when translated meant size 9. Go figure....
  12. I've gotten stuff from there a few times.
  13. so much for being famous...the magazine came today... I like!
  14. Well Graydog, do come over to where the action is on the green and so I and others can meet you!
  15. I'll be there selling my wares. Unless something has changed, I'll be across from that 'other' pirate camp sharing the booth with Dawn Bradley and Tony Kopec, look for me and come and say 'hi' !!!!!
  16. Calling Rats a weasel are ye?
  17. Wow! Those blankets would make great capes!!!!!
  18. Bummer, the stays/corset will never fit me.....
  19. Looking forward to meeting you Ransom. I've actually been through Grants Pass, Oregon, course that was way back in the late 1970's so I'm sure it's even better today....
  20. When I went to Canada a few years back I brought a really great knife for my pen pal, even though I had it packed in my regular luggage. When on the plane before landing there all passengers are given a piece of paper to fill out and one of the things mentioned are if there are any weapons in your luggage. Well being the honest person I am, I answered yes. When the plane landed and I got my luggage I was sent to a special area to have my luggage checked and explain to them the knife was a gift for my Wiccan friend and I was sent on my way with no further problems.
  21. Congrats for you Cheryl! I know what it's like to win workmanship awards at conventions, (having won numerous ones) and it makes you feel really good that your work has been done well!
  22. If you want really interesting foods, watch the Travel Channel with Andrew Zimerman...the guy will eat anything! It really grossed me out recently when a cobra was killed for eating and he asked the guy to dig out the snake's heart which was still beating, skewer it and eat it!!!!!!!! BTW- I also like watching Anthony Bourdain (Travel Channel) who does similar things.
