I use to go to chat rooms when I first started using the computer. For some crazy reason I would get signaled aside for a more personal thing. Once even did some phone sex for some guy....... I don't do chat rooms anymore I don't have the time to spend on the computer every day. I do have a life.

There's been talk here in Calif. that minimum wage might go up to $10.00 an hour. and guess what? It still isn't enough to live here in Calif. on. Calif. has the HIGHEST property taxes of any state in the USA. Also the second highest gas prices next to Hawaii who are the first. Yet you can afford to live here (we've managed as have others who have a lot less), depending on where and what kind of job you have that will offer you security of not being fired or let go. I can tell you here in Escondido, stores are hurting not just by low sales, but by lack of employees who can't afford to live on their measly wage of $7.25 an hour. There's LOTS of jobs awaiting. Got waitress experiance? Got cashier experiance? You easily can get a sales job, but don't expect ten bucks an hour. My partner Boats has worked for the County of San Diego for over 20 years, it's taken him that long to finally get some decent pay. Thankfully his Navy retirement has kicked in - that's how we are going to be able to buy a home to live in....we hope.....Thank goodness the home prices are coming way down to actually affordable.....almost. As for events, gas is the major reason why we are not going to many events this year.

Geeze L.S. you sure are having a heck of a time...bummer. Unfortunately when one family member loans money to others you'll probably never see it again, sad but true....take it as a lesson learned. Do you have any friends back there at all that you can talk to? Heart problems run in a few friends I have, but they don't let it stop them from enjoying life. Suggestion when trying to meditate, try putting your hand over your heart, smile and close your eyes. Let the White Light enter your heart and your soul and ask to be shown the correct direction to go. Sometimes just following what your heart asks as opposed to your brain is the best.

I think the only reason NO got so much attention is because it's a tourist destination. I do think it's incredibly stupid of our current government to ignore what happens here in the USA.

Ya what's worse about the house deal was it was a manufactured home on pilings instead of a concrete slab that most are on. The only updating was new granite counter tops in the kitchen, some paint, new appliances, but no updating of the kitchen lighting, no updating of the bathrooms, price: $270.00. We have since found out from two other realtors that it is way over-priced and shouldn't be selling for more than $200.00. Well knowing that now, it's very unlikely the seller will get what he wants and who knows by the time the end of the year rolls around the price might actually come down to an affordable price. A friend of Boat's has a nephew who deals only in foreclosures: fixes them up and sells them. Apparently we can grab a really decent house for $200.00 or less. By October we will have enough to put down on a place so that hopefully before next spring we'll be outta here.

Well as I expected the house fell through. Boats can't afford the payments ($2300.00 a month! That's just outrageous!). But hopefully by the time the end of the year rolls around we will have saved up enough money to at least put some money down on something that can have more affordable payments.

Trying not to get my hopes up too much...........we found a house we want to buy over in San Marcos (3 bed./2 full bath).................just started talking now, will get the paperwork started tonight or ASAP..........I have no doubt that we qualify to buy a house (Boats has top of the line credit), but my concern is whether or not Boats can actually afford the payments......................possibility that our friend Bob might move in as a roommate and help with the payments.......so much to think about and yet so much can go wrong.......................
